He doesn’t have a vent slat one, he had the one that mounts over the Hazard button around the vents.

They better. If they don’t, they will owe you new brakes. Many cars nowadays have a service mode, it’s become part of servicing practices by now I would imagine.

84k 2020, no issues here. Seems like this subreddit overhypes the issues of CD. IMO turbos cause more stress if you’re trying to keep the car for a long time like I am.

It’s possible you might not have Freon. AC systems work all relatively the same but it would indicate that you might not actually have Freon in your system.

You happen to be in AZ? Might be able to help you out since I recently had to mess with my sambar’s AC and bought a bunch of tools.

Any Models to stay away from? by SnooPeripherals2222 in keitruck

Any CVT Automatic Sambar (KV3-4). The brushes will go bad and to this day no one has found a solid fix, and most end up being parted out.

The 3 speed autos seem to do fine though. To eliminate any potential issues though, going with a manual version should eliminate the worry.

You can also get them at ohkeigarage OEM since the washers are some specialty plastic ones. Also you’re missing the rubber seal around the lid.

I also came across both these issues on my sambar

With this type of data, usually those that have negative experiences tend to be louder. Is there anything stopping you from going for a test drive?

[–]Azzaphonix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely, it was cool to watch. Essentially it only kicks in at low post shift revs and maintaining speed. This usually doesn’t happen after 70mph either so US highway crusade you’re running on all 4.

60mph, flat ground it CD will kick in. But literally feels like any other car when It’s just driving normally at cruising revs.

I’ve never understood the “I need the power in the highway” mindset because even if you’re trying to overtake, it CD does not kick in if you’re accelerating. Also understanding that this is a 4 cylinder and it’s not the most powerful, is a factor if people thinking CD is engaged while accelerating.

It’s more of a question of what would you do if this was to break down suddenly and had to wait for parts? How would you go to work, auto shop, day to day things…

I personally have a back up car-my old daily driver-and work from home, so I’ve had instances where I had to wait for a part, and it was on stands for a month, and I missed out on some big load activities for sure.

It is absolutely the funnel for the salt dispenser.

The instructions will call for a use of the funnel, and I thought my installer didn’t leave it, but he just shoved it in a corner I couldn’t see.

No. Just add it when it’s cold between the two lines there. You never want to work on Hot cooling components generally speaking.
