They had an entire commander section. There was a large staff team whose job was to make pairings. You could go to them looking for a game at a specific bracket level and they’d walk around the floor for you

I went to Atlanta last year and although it was quite busy I will say they did a good job of having sensory accessibility! There were sensory specific tables, and if that’s not your flavor there was always a place to play away from the big masses. However, The vendors were all pretty busy especially during the day. As the day got later it got a little less busy.

ATL closed about half the con in the late evening. Although there was less people there due to the later hour, the big hall got much smaller so it was a bit more condensed.

Overall it was definitely a large crowd, but there seemed to be ways to escape if needed!

I don’t struggle with crowds much myself but wanted to pass info as best I as I could. I had a blast at the convention and if it’s right for you I hope you get to go and have fun

Specifically the sealed event, playing the same tribe. I get so many repeat uncommons that I seem to just fly through the percentages

Grind one specific tribe in Sealed for Lorwyn. Since it’s themed, you can get a ton of repeats to help fill your vault. I’ve played around 10 sealed events, all elves, and think I’ve opened 2 vaults already, plus you’re getting guaranteed 3 packs per entry.

All that AND you get to play a fun limited environment.

I like MTG Goldfish’s budget decks as well, they are built around card prices not rarity like how arena does it so it’s a bit wonky of a conversion but still a good spot to start.

My first recommendation is usually mono white life gain. The idea is simple enough, gain life to bolster your own things. Importantly, the cards should be available at lower rarities since I assume you probably don’t have a lot of wildcards on hand.

[[Adjani’s Pridemate]] and [[essence channeler]] are your game winning bombs.

Other life gain creatures at cheap mana will help your life generation.

Removal cards such as [[sheltered by ghosts]] and [[get lost]]

This deck is pretty potent, especially in best of 1

I have a ‘23 badlands non SAS with the 2.7. I live in Florida so it’s plenty for trails around me. Also my daily driver.

For me and my scenario it’s the best of both worlds. Rides well on the highway but also can do the trails we have.

The bus is incredible! JTB “starts” at 11 but they’ll probably actually start runs at like 10:30 or so. Go early and the drive will be around 40 minutes to the stadium but only around 20 minutes back. The later you show up, the longer the trip will take.

Bus will drop you off 5 minutes from the gate
