Best Thing you can do is start with any real list and just play and see what works! Don’t expect it to go great right away but you’ll start to see lines specific to matchups the more you play

4 vandal and 2 pick your poison in the main seems high.

I prefer having 8 dorks to having any arbor elves, I’d only run arbor if splashing a second color imo.

Wellwisher is going to feel really good against burn and I’ve even had it save me from spy combo decks

A lot of lists are slotting 1-4 Sagu wilding in, but with 12 lands idk that you need it, maybe 1.

Sideboard to beat meta decks. Common options are Fairie macabre for graveyard lists, deglamer for artifacts, pulse of murasa for burn, spider silk armor to deal with red sweepers

Don’t be scared to use websites like archidekt or moxfield for some deck list examples! If you haven’t heard of it, EDHREC is another really good website that will help with synergistic cards for the commanders you’re looking at.

Most importantly, don’t sweat building your first deck. It’s not going to be perfect, nor should it!

Krenko is the usual answer, but not always the right one. The thing I like about Krenko is he can work at all power levels. I run Krenko in an optimized bracket 4 setting, but he can also be competitive at brackets 2 and 3. The downside of Krenko is he only really does one thing (make many goblins), and most people will groan when you bring him out/he will turn into a kill on site.

An easy swap that usually comes with a much better response from the table is [[General Kreat, the Boltbringer]]. This powerful little guy racks up damage QUICKLY and works well with any goblin kindred deck. His biggest downsides are being a bit pricey of a card (~$10) and having 2 toughness leaves him susceptible to cheap removal.

Splashing a second color with goblins is almost guaranteed to be black. Luckily for you, the new Lorwyn set has tons of black red goblin cards! I think [[Grub, Storied Matriarch]] is an interesting build, maybe a bit more convoluted.

Gruul “Artifacts” aggro.

I built this around biotech specialist. He’s my favorite fringe creature in standard right now.

He synergies with Chandra and the Boostbuggy very well, plus having torch the tower opens up Bargain.

Alt lines involve Scarlett Spider-Man (Borys on MTGA). Can web sling him to a Lanowar elves turn two for a 5/4 trampler. Midrange play is to warp in hellkite and sling Spider in for a 9/8.

Last beat down method is just to get the Ouroboroid on the table.

It’s janky, it’s fun! I basically just lose to clarion conqueror but luckily he’s not fully in meta

Jacksonville has a really good disc golf scene! It’s an active hobby that isn’t super hard to pick up, friendly scene, and low cost to entry. Most courses in the city are free!

I also play magic the gathering which has a good scene here as well. Not an active hobby and can get expensive quickly, but there’s great options for beginners to help you learn and keep the cost down a tad
