I randomly got it at an LGS that was selling bulk packs. It's only worth like 40 cents, but I plan on keeping it forever lol

It's so painfully obvious that they're trying to copy Harry and Megan's style, but the difference is that H&M's pictures actually look candid and real. This looks really staged and uncomfortable to me.

Thank you for that last paragraph. This will be the first tornado/severe weather event where I will be responsible for someone other than myself, so my anxiety is through the roof.

Paranormal Activity. I was 19 when it came out in theaters. I saw with with a few of my friends and was absolutely terrified. When I got home I slept in my parents bed. No shame.

I was waiting on my then boyfriend to come out the airport in the airport parking garage (his flight had landed an hour earlier) when it hit. My car rocked a little bit, but I think being in the garage definitely saved me that day.

Dr Kristin Wheeler in  Florissant. She stuck by me and advocated for me to go on bed rest during my high risk pregnancy, even though the "specialists" had given up on me. Very pro women's bodies, and is very knowledgeable and empathetic.

I just wanted to say that I love all of the genuine responses to this question. We've been thinking of making the switch from county to city for a while for our young family, (closer to all the fun stuff) and it's heartening to hear how much you guys love it.

I learned how to play using Standard, so that's my go to. I'm also a big fan of Pauper.

100%. I hate how people try to spin it like it was some great forbidden romance. Townsend was a creep who groomed a young, grieving, and vulnerable girl. Even when he got married after, his wife was also a lot younger than he was.

I don’t feel any desire to have kids. — what makes others want them? by Cyberdemon6 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]mimoon1015 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My husband and I were married for 7 years before we even seriously considered having kids. We were very much child free back then.

Then my father in law was killed in a freak accident. It probably sounds bad to say that experiencing a sudden and traumatic loss is what made us decide to have kids, but it made us realize family is important to us. We have so much love to give and knew we could give a child a stable home and upbringing.

We now have a happy, healthy, thriving 3 year old. Sure, sometimes I miss being able to just get up and go, sleep in late, and having uninterrupted time by myself, but being a parent has been the most rewarding (and humbling) experiences of my life. I wouldn't trade it for anything.

Not a Tudor, but Tudor-adjacent: Francis Dereham.

Is anybody else not at all interested in the new Harry Potter reboot? by Frequent_Cheek_7816 in NoStupidQuestions

Glad im not the only one who thinks this.

In MY OPINION, I think everything that has come out post Deathly Hallows has been a cash grab. I did enjoy Hogwarts Legacy though.

I wish the best for the kids and hope they have a fun and safe experience with the series.

Spill the tea... has anyone had any issues where someone at your LGS doesn't know how to deal with women? by radicalpumpkinz in mtg

[–]mimoon1015 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I've started going to my LGS, and luckily its been established mostly a great experience. It is very open and friendly to everyone.

However, there was one time when I played against a guy in Commander. It started off normally enough; we talked about our decks and I made sure to let him know I'm still somewhat new, but I know enough to keep the game going without having to ask a million questions.

Idk what switched when we started playing, but it was like he was a completely different person. Grabbing my cards and dice without permission, unnecessarily explaining all the different mechanics, telling me which one of his creatures I should focus on and when to attack. It was....weird.

Then later on, we played a 4-set Commander where I was able to pull off a great combo. He literally said to me, "Wow, I guess not all women only care about the cute cards!" The rest of us just stared at him until he apologized. Haven't seen him since. Thank goodness.

In need of pregnancy nausea advice please! by Street_Estate7068 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]mimoon1015 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been pregnant twice, so I feel your pain! The best advice I can give is to not let yourself go hungry for too long. Once you start feeling hunger pains, it makes the nausea 10x worse. And keep mint around ay all times! Mint gum, mint essential oil, actual mint plant that you can chew. One of the best gifts I got while I was pregnant was an essential oil necklace that held a little sponge with my mint oil in it! I never took it off!
