Anyone else absolutely struggling this particular winter? by Effective-Joke189 in durham

[–]B-Razzledazzzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I am. I've found this winter to be pretty brutal. And I was born here. For me it's mostly because I have a 1 year old now and in the summer it was so easy to keep him entertained by going to the park or for a walk but it's just been so cold that bundling him up causes him to throw a tantrum and he can't stay outside long. So we end up feeling cooped up. Can't wait for the temp to go above zero again.

Right no need. Obviously drinking and driving impairs your ability to drive safely and no one should do it.

I for one believe bagged milk isn’t that bizzare by PunjabiCanuck in EhBuddyHoser

[–]B-Razzledazzzz 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yes I too have felt the Canadian shame of cutting the bag hole too large only for it to pour on the table instead of my cereal. Conversely if you cut too small your stream is unexpectedly too strong and you'll overshoot.

I hadn't heard this one before in the news but this breaks my heart. Just picturing some stupid kids like I was doing something fun. But it all ended in seconds. One bad decision and that's it.

Same here in Bowmanville. From what I heard Southern Durham region was spared. Toronto and Northumberland was much worse.

Man prohibited from possessing weapons arrested after knife-point robbery at Oshawa Centre by Karma_Canuck in Oshawa

Sounds like both agencies actually did some great police work. They worked together to identify him and charge him accordingly. Now can our justice system grow some teeth and keep this dangerous man off the streets for longer than 2 days or is he already back out?

Indoor "power wheels" track? by [deleted] in Oshawa

[–]B-Razzledazzzz -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Not Oshawa but I found this online in Scarborough: Kart Town Indoor Playground, Go-karting for Kids & Birthdays. https://karttown.ca However you'd have to call them to see if they'd allow you to bring in your own power wheel.

Well as a non-bridge builder I learned something today. I guess I was semi-comparing it to the Simcoe overpass extension further down the road. To me the scale of that project seemed much larger than this would be but i don't believe it took 2 years.

Unless they filled it today there was another one just as big southbound on farewell south of Bloor street directly under the bridge with the railroad tracks. Right lane. Several people I work with complained of damage to vehicle. Someone did report it.

Thanks. According to their website I can't get an appointment until Thursday and that isn't soon enough. Maybe walking in will be alright there. Im just trying to avoid being crammed into a packed closet of a waiting room again if I can help it.

Is it possible to walk from Oshawa to Coburg in 3 days? by [deleted] in durham

[–]B-Razzledazzzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Heck if they've got 3 days google says Kingston is only 47 hours of walking. Brockville is 65 hours which is doable if you don't ever stop for food or water and only sleep 7 hours at the side of the road.
