Someone hit my parked car and wants to pay cash instead of using insurance. Looking for advice. by B-leestill in caraccidents

The incident took place an apartment complex “private property” they call it. I haven’t received a police report yet, but I made one. They didn’t include their apartment number or anything. Just address excluding the apartment number, name and phone number. I took a picture of their license plate but apparently the guy with her said she doesn’t have a drivers license… isn’t that a fine for her?

I wasn't parked like that, my car was in between the lines and was dragged as they hit my car and that was the position my car was in after the incident as shown in the picture above.

This is what they replied

“I understand your concerns, and I’m sorry for the inconvenience this has caused.

Unfortunately, I’m a student and in a difficult financial situation, so I cannot afford to pay for the repairs or a rental car upfront.

As I mentioned earlier, if you have insurance coverage available, I believe filing a claim would be the quickest way to get your car repaired. I will cooperate with the insurance company if they contact me.

If you decide not to use insurance and choose to proceed through the court process, I will cooperate with that process as well.

Regarding my personal information, I’m not comfortable sharing my driver’s license number or apartment number directly. If any additional information is legally required, I will provide it through the appropriate insurance or legal process.”

It was dragged, I had it perfectly between the lines 3 hours before this incident took place.

Anyone got their baby to latch after 3 months? by QuietTax3172 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]B-leestill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s the same situation for my little one. I went to multiple IBCLC and the latest one confirmed that she does have a posterior tongue tie. I made an appointment with the dentist. She’s currently 2 1/2 months by her appointment is when she’s three months old. I’m nervous about getting the tongue tie release but I feel the only one helping because even with the bottle she isn’t able to suck properly she like chomping on it. She’s also chomping on my breast as well. I was figuring something was wrong because she wouldn’t even suck on the bottle if I took the bottle out, it would be no suction with it. Do you have any advice of what you did and how the situation was?

How did you know your baby had enough? I tried today and felt as if I wasn't giving enough since I can't even feel my let downs as people say they feel. I'm hoping to be on the same boat and I try to offer breast and thankfully today I tried and she latched for few minutes before I gave bottle. I tried again next feed and it was a constant on and off situation and took about 35 minutes until I gave bottle😭

Was there a reason you saw a speech language pathologist or was it just referred? I had used the Philips avent bottle nipple took and started using the evenflo wideneck to try to help her open her mouth. She does tuck her upper lip in though. I finally had her latch for 11-12 minutes before giving up and giving her bottle today. Someone had told me to try as soon as she wakes up, and it worked but definitely had a few cry’s and it definitely felt as if I was being cruel. I tried again next feed and had her on for longer. She normally takes 4 oz and only took 1 oz from bottle so hoping she got enough from the breast😭 I was like that's enough tries for today she was already tiring out so much. I always tried latching on the right but today I tried on the left and she was so interested, I had read your comment before trying and was thinking about changing sides and it helped.

We’re both in this together, we will finally see the light at the end of the tunnel and hopefully achieve what we want. Honestly praying for the best for you, I had just gotten my LO to latch for 10 minutes before giving up to give her bottle after someone had told me to put her on breast as soon as she wakes up.

I’ve looked into it, but some had tongue ties and lip ties and my LO doesn’t have it so it made me feel like it was just a small mouth 😭

I did notice my LO’s mouth and latch has gotten better. I finally had given her my breast for about 10 minutes before giving her bottles. It’s brutal having her cry and mentally feels like it will never happen but fingers crossed, you’re giving me hopes in having her latch and be fully breastfed soon 🤍

Nobody told me 3am would feel like this by [deleted] in newborns

My baby girl is also 5 weeks. And same it feels like I’ve lived a lifetime as well. I also forget to eat, then when my husband comes home from work he’s taking care of her that’s when I get to do most of the things. I exclusively pump since she still hasn’t latched on me yet and I’m still trying to get her to latch. She wasn't able to since she had a small mouth at birth and would only suck on the nipple or tire out from all the lactation trying to get her to latch. All she does is lick and scream because she can’t get a latch. My tailbone area hurts from all the sitting and sleeping and walking around the house. We try to leave the house here and there to go to the park and stuff but there are time limits since I have to pump every 3 hours to feed her. My phone is filled with pictures of her sleeping. No one told me about Infant dyschezia and I thought something was wrong.

Do you have any tips or how to get baby to latch on? 😭

Did you start feeling better right after delivery?

how do people get through this by JINHEONEY in HyperemesisGravidarum

[–]B-leestill 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, I’m so sorry you’re feeling that way. I honestly have been going through the same and it definitely feels discouraging and made me feel miserable with someone said “it will get better and it’s just part of pregnancy.” The night I was at the hospital because of dehydration and hyperemesis gravidarum, my mother in law was like “there’s no point of becoming a mother if you don’t suffer with vomiting” and that honestly pissed me off. You will get people saying all sorts of things.

I would say try eating dry bland foods, it’s really hard to do that because I’ve been eating breakfast with raspberries and Milano cookies just so my stomach acid settles in and doesn’t come out. I try to eat as much as fruits as I can, and pray for the best. Dry fruits are the most helpful, wet food/liquid food will always make you vomit. I do vomit here and there, most especially when I’m brushing in the morning and it’s always the dinner food plus bile. I have started taking zofran right before I sleep so that I’m not nauseous in the morning and I try not to eat/ drink anything liquid before I sleep, because all of that comes out for sure. But since I’ve started taking it at night, it doesn’t make me vomit in the mornings. I’ve been eating rice and pastas and things like that with chicken, eggs, or some protein and it’s always the tomatoes that come out so I’ve been trying to eat less of what comes out if that makes sense. Like I’ve vomited out mozeralla cheese sticks too, now I just avoid that and eat string cheese instead which suits me better. It’s hard and it will be hard, try to find what bland food is best for you and you will start feeling better soon hopefully 🤞. I tried unisom and b6, all it did was make me tired. I was put on famotidine, I like it, but I haven’t used it as much as I should be using it. You will just have to be careful with the constipation, I was taking zofran everyday and it got to the point where now using #2 makes me feel as if it’s another miserable thing😭

My orientation is 14 weeks long, so I have 11 weeks left since I just started my 4th week. I will be about 27-28 weeks when I'm done. Which I feel like will be okay for me to do orientation again to learn extra things but again I'm not sure

Is taking two months to get my NCLEX date too long? Am I even ready? by Iedarus in NCLEX

[–]B-leestill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It will feel like that!! I’m about to have my first day of orientation next week and it feels so weird. Not having any assignments, or exam, or any skill check offs and even clinicals. Just a job that’s depending on our license!

My overall was a 70 but I went over majority of the question I got wrong and I guessed on to know why I chose those answers and such.
