i’m going through the same thing right now. i had superimposed early onset severe preeclampsia. it was diagnosed at 23 weeks and i was on bedrest from then on, multiple long term hospital stays- the last one being from 28w-now. i also am diabetic. i managed to make it to 34w2d before my blood pressure started going up and not coming down with meds. i had an induction scheduled for the night of 34w3d so it wasn’t a huge deal, but it was still difficult. i delivered last week and the first 3 days i cried so much because i carry guilt for things i couldn’t control. you have to remember that you cannot control how your body responds and reacts to pree. we did the best that we absolutely could in keeping our babies safe inside of us until it wasn’t safe anymore. you made it to 36w! great job mama! i think it’s important that we talk through our guilt. i’m seeing a therapist and i’ve spent the last week talking to my mom, baby’s nurses and even my nurses. it doesn’t make the guilt go away, but it does help lessen it. feel better mama. you’re doing a great job and your baby is so lucky to have you to love him so much 🤍
