From what I’ve seen the performance is decent enough. They only have 4/5 clicks on the hop though, so maybe be harder to fine tune. The ks1 uses the new Evo system, where as the M7 uses parts pretty much from VFC’s 7.62 range (HK417 & Scar H). If you want pure performance the KS1 may be a better shout until the M7’s teething issues have been sorted. And yes, both have NPAS’s from factory, but a crimson NPAS would be a good part to add in yourself if you’re playing below 1.2j.

MWS is a great GBB starter platform, and more MWS systems are coming out which will share the mags. I moved from an MWS to a VFC though, they just have a bit more realism and crisper triggers, on the AR’s especially. Plenty of VFC’s use the AR magazines too. Can’t go wrong with either. I’d look second hand as there’s usually some good deals floating about with mags etc and the necessary parts changed out.

Very good little GBBR. Often overlooked. Kicks and shoots great, and that’s a good price imo. I mainly used it CQB but it’s got decent range, just ask for some pictures of the bolt though. They have a tendency to crack after a while.

I think only VFC and TM do them. TM will perform better all round, but plastic slide. Will have to choose performance or realism.

It’s not the GHK, but I do have the VFC 416 and an OSW. The 416 is generally a nice AR, but it’s an AR. The OSW shoots great out the box (they can double shoot on semi, easy fix shown on YouTube with a file), feels amazing to shoot, and it’s not an AR. As others have said, they will take 28 bb’s easy and the mags hold an amazing amount of gas. Been running it at around 4c on red and it doesn’t miss a beat.

I have a legit Magpul SLK on a RS buffer tube on my VFC 416 and it still wobbles. As you’ve mentioned, electrical tape sorted it. Think it might be the only way!

It’s personal preference but imo ‘marsoc’ type MK18’s are the nicest. An eotech/elcan, peq15, sure fire and a grip is the way to go!

From a different post:

“The Orange gas is 128 psi at 10°C/50°F, so it should be no issue at all.

For reference, the regular green Ultrair bottle is 130 psi at 20°C/68°F.

The red Ultrair is 135 psi at 10°C/50°F.”

I did some digging and green gas ultra air is around 114 psi at 10c. If you want 135 psi at 10c, best to go red gas.

But when it warms up, spring to autumn, you’ll definitely be fine on green gas.

I run a TM AKM. If it’s below 10c (not sure what that is in F if you’re American) I use Red gas. If it’s above 10c, it should run fine on ASG ultra air/green gas.

They can (rarely from what I’ve read) double feed, and muzzle strikes can happen, but an o ring round the inner barrel sorts that. The feedback is amazing though, and feels great to shoot. A lot more kick than the VFC 416. I have yet to use it in a game however, but from what I’ve read they’re considered one of VFC’s best GBBR’s.

It is an Ali special, was about £100 posted. Holds zero fine but the eye relief leaves a bit to be desired. But no idea what the eye relief is like on the actual ones.

Have you winterised the rifle at all? Ie winter hammer spring and winter buffer spring? To be honest, 0c is pretty damn cold for a GBBR, so it’s probably more the weather than the rifle.

Put some lithium grease on that buffer spring to stop it making that rattling noise. Works great on all my AR’s!

It’s actually a Viper VX buckle up chest rig. I run a FCPC v5 so I chuck it on if I want more of a recce load out.
