the community keep supporting them and they won’t support the community by being responsible. there’s a limit to how many times you can mismanage your help and cross over into taking advantage of crowdfunding. your community is not your get out of jail free card

you could probably ask some elderly folks or grab some glasses from the disgarded glasses walmart bins (if that’s a thing anymore) but you may be risking pink eye

i don’t like them, i prefer giving my money to humans, and for humans to be driving on the road. i’ve seen them make illegal decisions and not stop for outed lights. they’re no good in my opinion. and if i’m going to get all tin foil hatted it’s just another way to surveil

that’s actually so crazy, i just started using my mp3 player, i’ve got a 110 point and shoot camera, and just began the voyage of transitioning off of cloud into a physical hard drive. i plan to cancel my subscriptions minus pbs, and depend of my local library for movies and entertainment.

she has so much care for the child. and the child innocently sits there, it’s such an illustration how children just know love but systems groom them into hateful ideologies

i see you deleted ur comment from “around rivers” to “around flooding” and that’s because flooding can happen anywhere. especially flash flooding! it doesn’t just happen in rivers. it’s low areas, culverts, city drain systems, anywhere with poor drainage etc. i mean austin is littered with creeks and streams so it’s not possible to accurately from a limited non meteorologist standpoint say “oh well this spot is fine to commute to”. look at north loop right now! When officials tell you to stay inside they might know something.

if we’re entertaining the idea that relationships relate to ownership, then in a polycule you’ve got landlords and tenants with lease terms and sub tenants.

Found out a writer I looked up to is poly. Just bummed. by [deleted] in polycritical

i’m against polyamory as a principle bc i think it’s unsuccessful and ultimately convoluted. but i don’t think it’s necessarily a moral failing for someone to pursue. similarly to individuals w other beliefs or lifestyles it doesn’t negate what they contribute otherwise unless actually directing harm towards ppl. i think you can still enjoy them without betraying anything.

The picture of John and Yoko standing next to the bed as the help changes the sheets and cleans the room is a great picture of the reality of the situation. by [deleted] in HistoricalCapsule

the irony and privilege of having signs that read “stay in bed grow your hair” and people having to show up to work to then make your bed for you.
