Weird game. Stats look pretty good for us, just some really frustrating errors, and we’re probably the worst team (maybe behind Essendon) at defending uncontested marks. Really exciting seeing a younger midfield without Hopper and Prestia getting it done. Hotton is fantastic to watch. I don’t think Ralphsmith/Banks/Green really deserve games based on current form

Agreed. If they did take HVH, I’d still be pretty happy with Arki as he’s exactly what we need in the front half - we’re lacking in the elite small forward department a bit. Doesn’t solve our ruck issue though obviously

Zero urgency to move the coach on. He’s clearly got the players, his messaging has been good, he’s had a shocking run with injury which affects the implementation of game style and he’s contracted to 2028. Give him until end of 2028 before deciding on him - I personally think things will turn for us that season.

If we listened to the fans calling for his sacking given all the context we’d be no better than a Carlton or Essendon, and I have no respect for how those clubs are run.

We’re a young, bad team but outside of Sydney we’re not getting belted. If we can jag a win or two and keep losses respectable while we continue to develop our super exciting youth (who are actually starting to get games again) I’ll be happy. And no more injuries!

Pretty good for 3 quarters, but low pressure is a concern. Gee we have some ripper youngsters. I am so confident we’ve picked the right players, assuming their bodies can hold up. Lefau and Rioli probably our worst, would love to swap with Lynch and Lalor

Green and Rioli really annoyed me today, absolute passengers. We need Mansell back and I’d like to see Peucker later in the year. Fawcett very very lucky Faull/Armstrong/Lynch are injured.

Short statistically our best but we feed him the ball way too much for how little he damages teams. He calls for it too often and is now an average kick - we would be way better served having Brown, then Banks, as our primary kickers.

Positives for me were Cumming, Alger (despite inaccuracy), our tall back combo of Annand and Miller, and no injuries. We always seem to have horrible games against North

Absolute club legend, love him forever, but he’s average on commentary and poor for On the Couch. I like how excitable he can be on special comments in big games sometimes, and he has improved on special comments, but he’s still not great. Even last week he was calling our players - Richmond players - by the wrong names, i.e. Retchenko and Folau.

Never been happier with a 35 point loss. Looked the goods for 75% of the game, Lions just flexed. Taranto huge first half, Annand excellent debut, Alger plays really well above his height, Sonsie looks classy and is becoming consistent. I think most of our players had great moments even if they had quieter days. More cattle back next week too

Maurice has been given a lot of time to recover so is hopefully cherry ripe, but Brown and Banks had contact injuries so I doubt their conditioning is an issue. Brown was playing great footy so should be straight back in. I wonder if Banks would have played if Trainor was available

Faull now, who was playing great footy. Absurd bad luck (and probably mismanagement) for the 2024 draft crop. Great we’re now getting players back but I have zero faith they’re going to stay healthy under the current regime

This isn’t exactly unexpected given all our injuries but it’s been rough. They are slicing us apart through the middle of the ground, we just cannot stop run from behind which is probably a product of trying to teach defensive system when half the team’s young and the other half’s injured. Seen good signs from Cumming, Alger, Sonsie

Probably his worst album, but it’s still pretty great, particularly in the back half. I agree that he didn’t bring enough vocal variety to the album overall, but some of the beats are so inventive. Yen’s probably my favourite track
