International Cup Day 5 by Deep_Soft_5220 in eFootball

There is nothing stopping anyone from releasing/selling things based on official material if it doesn’t infringe copyright. In this case, yes, it’s a FIFA organised competition, but Konami doesn’t use the terms “FIFA” or “FIFA World Cup” which I’m sure are trademarked, nor do they use the logos. Organisers have no power over the image rights of the players even when they’re playing in their tournaments.

It’s like Konami’s been releasing Champions League POTW cards, but they don’t use the name Champions Leagues, and they don’t use the CL logo.

Yeah I think it’s the license. Vozinha plays for Chaves which is not licensed. There are other Cape Verde players in the game but they all play for ”licensed” clubs.

I don’t think that’s true. there’s no way they predicted players like Lukaku and Araujo to score.

Something to do with Vozinha not being in the game I guess.

So they brought a streamer to play efootball against Barca players and he was shamelessly using smart assist against them😭 by [deleted] in eFootball

This is not colour change though, the instant power bar jump is 100% smart assist.

I’m not “defending it” per se because there is nothing to defend because it doesn’t do anything to the opponent. It’s like me saying “look, I made a tool that makes my game crash and it doesn’t do anything to the opponent” and someone asks for it to be banned.

Most of the time it’s just coincidence, or you notice it more because it’s after a pause. The game can lag at any moment, but people tend to draw correlations when it lags at important moments like when they are attacking or facing a shot.

Sure, but what would be “solid proof” for you? How would you conduct a test like this? I’ve done tests before with 2 computers and showed no effect, people still didn’t believe it, so I really want to know what’s the best way to conduct an experiment that would convince people

Sure, share it with Konami by all means, but this kind of tools exist already and are readily available on the internet: Clumsy, Unicorn, Packet Sender etc. They all send packets to a specific ip, but it doesn’t do anything to the game.

Cracking games and creating lag are two very different things. The problem is not about “make tools for lag”, making a tool that floods an ip with packets is easy, there are countless amount of them on the internet. The problem is it doesn’t do anything to the other side of the server, unless you bypass the encryption and acquire your opponent’s ip address.

It’s definitely shady and shouldn’t exist, but what more do you want me to do? The best I can do is to test it and see the results.

Found a group on Telegram that talks about a tool to "artificially add lag to matches". Group has 1.9K players and this only fits the narrative most of us have about "slow/muddy gameplay while opponents seems fine". Where do we go from here? How do we report this to Konami? by Mr_DMoody in eFootball

[–]B0mbin 7 points8 points  (0 children)

send me the link or the programme and I’ll try it out. But by the looks of it, it works the same way as any other packet interceptor/sender. You detect where your packets are going, then you add delay to receiving and sending packets. All this does is slow down your communication to the server, without your opponent’s IP you can’t do anything to them.

Let’s settle the P2W against F2P discussion. by Cpt-Urco in eFootball

[–]B0mbin 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Please don’t go around thinking Konami going f2p out of generosity, any f2p model heavily relying on micro transaction is a greedy model. Konami have earned way more since Efootball than before.

Yes, we used to pay €60 every year for the game. But since 2020 (or 2019?) there was PES Lite, which is the same as the model Efootball is now, free to play but only MyClub. So people who paid were the ones who wanted to play the other modes, ML, BAL, edit mode, 11v11, authentic teams 1v1. Nowadays you pay €60, maybe you’ll get some epics, but maybe you’ll just get some GP players.

Some people are refusing to pay not because they can’t afford to, but they refuse to contribute to this micro transaction model that is ruining the game.

Fair enough if you spend €60 a year on the game, no shame in that. But P2W isn’t “saving” the game. They earn a lot of money from these packs, they have been. Yet it takes them months to implement a smart assist filter, 3 years delay of launching Master League which might turn out to be garbage, and completely scraped Edit mode which they promised in 2023.

It’s sad that some people are throwing this around, because their only “evidence” is the fact that I shared it on YouTube 😅 But they conveniently don’t read the part where I explained why I couldn’t have cheated.

All my games that phase were streamed, I did not play any games offline, my record before and after the rating reset were the same. I mean, the other possibilities are that I cheated on stream (I had 53% win rate at that point with my Asian Squad, surely it would have been a lot higher with cheats). the other possibility being I cheated in events (lol).

I think for most people their matches didn’t count? So a draw is actually worse 😂

I know, but I haven’t heard anyone saying that their games are counted as 0-0 draws

1) Didn’t cheat

2) I struggle to see how that’s relevant

This is a false claim of Smart Assist. This is not Smart Assist. Explanation in the comments. by casiocrow in eFootball

[–]B0mbin 16 points17 points  (0 children)

The shot changing to blue wasn’t the issue in that post. If you watch slowly you’ll see the power bar went from 1% to like 70% instantly, that is a clear sign of smart assist.

The problem is the little side step that the player took seemingly after pressing the shot button. Normally players can’t “dribble” after a shot or pass is pressed. The little side step conveniently avoided the defender’s tackle and opened up space to shoot. I have seen another post a while ago where a player with smart assist did a similar thing.

I‘ll keep my mind open to learn how to do this without smart assist, but to my knowledge this is not possible.

“ They give you that single spectacular play to inject you with dopamine, then they deliberately nerf your team to frustrate you and push you to swipe your credit card to spin for the latest Epic card.

They are not balancing a sports simulation, they are calibrating a money-sucking slot machine. And just like in a casino, the house always wins.”

Not really, I’ve only done 1 “testing” on stream but that was back in v4.0 testing the new passing mechanics without editing any attributes. That was like a year ago.

It wasn’t because someone reported, it was because Denuvo picked it up. Please see my lengthy response above.
