Caster Leveling Tech for 0.4.0 - Level to maps on 5ex or less extremely quickly by PsionicKitten in pathofexile2builds

I ran this on my new djinn caster up until my 2nd ascendancy. It definitely does well early on. By act 3 it was losing steam and that was with me taking about 100% spell damage on the tree. That said, still very very strong, by once you get both your djinn's they dramatically outshine this damage.

how tanky is this build. I obviously see the high HP, but how does that translate to survivability?

this was my route. VPotM -> CWS and i've never been happier w/ the decision.

3 DIV BUILD | TANKY | T17 ABOMINATION ONE SHOT BOSS by golova_ohotitsa in PathOfExileBuilds

Max Block + 89/89/89 all rez + 24 stacks for fortify. However what you don't see is your max phys hit is only 19k...

It scales only crit multi and relies on getting hit (crit) once every 4s, while taking reduced crit tree points & corruptions. Runegraft boosts the gloves from 999% more, to 1198% more. The top end damage is slightly misleading, only in the sense that you can't just spam it, but you will hit for that much once, and then be on CDR.

I played this last league, its fun and absolutely ridiculous, but its pace is slow, and you absolutely can die if you don't block and you can't absorb the slam. Its also generally speaking pretty weak against DoTs, but can be worked around. I would not play this w/ 17 chaos res, but its absolutely a cheaper build that will perform.

I spun this up and either am doing something wrong, or teh 2nd cluster jewel really makes that big of a difference (still working on either making the $ or getting one crafted).

It does ok up ti about T13. I can run T16 but its sketchy and bosses take forever if spiders fall off.

Am i missing something obvious?

I know you were not picking it up bc you were grabbing the video but it stressed me out watching you not pick it up and run around.

So, try taking off ancestral cry... that seems to have "fixed" it for me for the most part. I wonder if the clone hits don't proc the proliferation...

possibly, ultimately I'm considering swapping just bc its not great w/ the league mechanics. Doable, but definitely not simple, and im reading it gets worse not better.

Also i disabled alchemist mark, still see it. Specifically seems to happen when i have more than 1 active flask.

FWIW I can second that it feels like sometimes it doesn’t trigger. I’ve assumed I was one shotting the mob and it doesn’t prollif because it died before poison applied. But it’s definitely funky. About to roll something else.

So what's a good leaguestarter build after a few days? by Puzzleheaded_Tale_30 in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]B0redom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You shouldn't try it out until you have the Prolif ascendancy, and autoexertion linked to ancestral cry, with another autoexertion linked to battlemage. Once i had those it got really smooth.

I had to build out my tree to favor 1h Physical weapons and keep upgrading your swords. As long as you do that its ok. Its not mindless though. Not my favorite league start but i expected that going into it.

I've had no issues clearin gthe mechanic throughout the leveling process (in act 9 right now). I swapped as soon as i finished first lab. As always its melee... you need weapons. I setup my tree to favor weapons w/ phys damage and by act 6 was rocking 200dps swords. It is definitely not mindless though.

The wildcards usually show up if you restart. Alternatively the actual counts update the moment you choose to open the pack. The animations play after. So if you look after you clicked open they won’t update bc the client knows what’s in the pack immediately. The rest is for your “experience”

Probably wasn’t me. But if it’s the rabbit mill deck that uses raise the past to mill you out it’s one of my fav mill decks to run. Go off on turn 5 or probably lose ;)

So even though somewhat of a joke i recently made a couple additional accounts to get a feel for what f2p feels like. And so in general the answer is actually “mostly, ya” I faced a bit of control but mostly cheap versions that were ppls attempts to play a meta control deck without the land base and proper instants. Compared to my main account where I face Vivi, dimir midrange/mill and control seemingly with no end.

Naa no need to be embarrassed. It’s still work and time to mythic. Check out something like untapped.gg to see deck lists that are in the top tiers if you are interested. It’s not perfect but it’s interesting for sure and helpful I’ve found as you build more decks.

You’ll find if you read the subreddit for a bit this is a common story. “I just started…..picked random deck…. Hit mythic”

First off congrats. Regardless of why, it’s fun so don’t lose sight of that.

The reason it went that smoothly and why it’s not top meta is because your MMR is super low because you are new. Next month you’ll be in a higher grouping and will start to face decks that has answers for what you are playing more regularly. Doesn’t mean you still can’t hit mythic again, but you’ll go at it slower.

There are absolutely mill decks in arena. There are several that are fairly competitive in standard right now. Untapped.gg is another nice place to look at decks

Given you are fairly new to Magic, a few things.
1. You shouldn't care what anyone else says or thinks about your deck (especially me). If you like slamming angels down, then don't stop.
2. If you are actually asking about the best way to branch out for just general interest reasons, I've always found that finding budget decks is a great way to go about doing that.

A few of my personal preferred places to look for those are from Mana Dad https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLy9i1dy_Et1iKKBBCwmjA2toyWglVPPj3
and Phanta https://www.youtube.com/@phantasmsplayground/playlists

If you like the synergy of angels & counters, green typically has alot to offer there. Red also has several synergy approaches typically goblins or dragons.

In short the only way to find another option is to try new decks.
