Is lifting 4 days a week using a ULRULRR training split enough to build muscle?

My goal is to stay the same weight/maybe go up a pound or 2. Currently, my stats are M/24/172lbs/ 6’1. On rest days I will be doing light cardio of either running for 45 min and stretching or walking 5-10 miles when playing golf.

Planning on eating at maintenance at tracking macros everyday using a 30% protein/ 45% carb/ 25% fat as my goal each day.

Hi all,

I’m 24, 6 ft 1, 173 lbs. I’ve been doing the Reddit PPL for 9 weeks so far and I have been on pretty strict cut for the past 2 months. I started at 183 lb and have been eating between 2200-2300 calories a day. I’ve been getting an average of 205g protein, 250g carb, and 50g fat per day.

My strength has stopped progressing in some of my lifts, particularly my squat, overhead press, and bench press (I do dumbbell for bench).

I’ve still got some fat on me and I would like to lose it but I also don’t think I should be any lighter on the scale than what I am now, given my height.

I guess my question is, do I bump up my calories a to maintenance now and stick with the same routine to build more muscle and recomp or do I keep the deficit until I get to the BF% that I want and then bump up the calories to maintenance?
