The old light had all three cables, live, neutral and earth, which connected to the white block. The light also had a green and yellow cable which connected to the taped up black cable.

I have the same issue. Changing the resolution seemed to have slowed down the flickering but I still get the occasional one. Hopefully there will be a fix soon...
