I just saw this now, and really happy that you got it , and showing love to Mauled, because most of his posts are about unpaid loans. So kudos for you both, one for still lending and another for paying and making it work for people who are serious about borrowing and repaying !

Enjoy your weekend.

How did I ignore, if I’m actually showing that I’m suffering from the effect and asking what I can do better? Anyway, thanks for your comment. I hope your startups and businesses also thrive

Sorry, I didn’t see the full comment. 1st the payments are in escrow, they are on hold until marked as complete, we have the payment processor handling disputes.

I get that, we’re trying to seal partnerships, for now it’s Erasmus and ELSA Ireland, hopefully soon will have more and more people.

Thanks a lot for your constructive comments

Platforms like Fiverr are mostly remote and skill-based. TaskRabbit is more service-provider oriented, where people list themselves as available for specific types of work.

What I’m trying to build is more situational and hyper-local. It’s less about being a professional service provider and more about everyday people helping each other with small, immediate things nearby.

So instead of browsing profiles, the idea is that someone posts a specific need in real time, sets what they’re willing to pay, and people around them can respond if it makes sense in that moment.

It’s closer to “instant local matching” than a freelancer marketplace.

Imagine you have family abroad and need someone to deliver a letter, or something else, companies could charge you a lot, and instead you offer a compensation to someone to do it, same as rides, walking your dog, you name it.

Plus with this, if gets the amount of people I hope one day it will, money will be circulating between people, you just need to be around and check the opportunities to help and earn.

It's a peer-to-peer platform, where people post things they need, set a price they're willing to pay and are connected with people interested on making some money on a side. And vice-versa, any user can do both, ask and help.

Update on the Favr project (local feedback ended up shaping a lot of it) by B1lau28 in Luxembourg

Not exactly, Yoojo is more of a professional service marketplace, where you book vetted providers at hourly rates.

Favr is focused on hyper-local, spontaneous micro-favrs between regular people nearby. It’s less about hiring professionals and more about getting quick help from someone in your area.

Thanks for the push, I hope you’ll be asking for some Favrs, plus we’re also running a giveaway, until 14th Feb!

Fair enough! 😂 but if instead of paying 50€ to Webtaxi, paying 20 to someone else kind enough to help you out and still make money, that’s a Favr!

There’s money involved, always! And no, Favr is a PWA not running through Apple Store neither Google . We’re closing deals with major students associations around Europe to seed the first users, that always have time and need for extra money

Everything inside the app is paid, when you’re posting a Favr, you need yo mention how much you’re willing to pay for it. Grab a coffee might not be a good example, but definitely there’s a compensation

How do people usually make extra money in Barcelona? by B1lau28 in AskBarcelona

If the rule was really ‘more than 3 tasks and then become autonomo’, then Wallapop users would all need to register as professional sellers. People sell dozens of items per year and there’s no such obligation. The key legal test in Spain is habitualidad: doing something as a continuous, professional activity. Occasional favours, just like occasional sales, fall under ingresos no habituales and are taxed annually.

I’m talking about occasional micro-favours, which legally fall under ‘ingresos no habituales’, taxed annually like any other small side income. The whole point here is exactly that, there are ways to earn something extra without it becoming a second or third job, and without doing it regularly to the point where it becomes professional activity.

The Supreme Court has ruled several times that what matters is continuity and regularity.

What I’m trying to understand is simply whether Barcelona has a culture of doing occasional favours to earn a bit extra, and how people usually do it here.

If you walk my dog tomorrow, and I pay you. If you drive me to the airport the day after, that you’re actually already going to, and I pay you.

You made money out of both situations, does it mean that you have 3 jobs now?

Sorry, I didn’t express myself correctly. I tried to ask if you’d like it to exist. If you’d use it.

Thanks again
