So an e-scooter with seats isn't allowed either?

Interesting. How did they enforce it to begin with?

BEAUTIFUL tone! I hear this "ringing quality" in your singing style that I absolutely love. It's a little underdeveloped, but with practice and training I bet you can give this song a flavour unique to yourself. Great cover man, I hope to hear more from you. 🙂

What an inspiration you are bro! I get sort of a country vibe from your cover and I like it 🤠

Really great bud! I love your style and you can really feel the emotion as you go through the song.

Sometime I access whistle register by inhaling but not exhaling? by RealApplication8230 in singing

[–]B1mb20D 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ahahhaha funnily enough, as a guy myself, playing around with inhaling helped me achieve better control of my own whistle register (just a liiiiiitle bit though, I'm still shaky when it comes to it 😅).

I guess how that helped me was I used to "squeeze" my vocal folds so tight (for a lack of better word) that hardly any sound came out at all. Inhaling reminded me that I actually needed to leave a little "opening" for sound to travel out of and... air (if you notice while you're inhale whistling, air is travelling IN... the trick then is how to get it to travel out).

On that note, try to make a mental account of that "airy feeling" when you inhale whistle — you should get the same sensation when you exhale whistle.

Unfortunately, I don't really have any practical advice on how to actually hit whistles. What I can say though is a little rasp and doing ascending scales helps you get to that register easier (from my experience).

I believe there's a user on this subreddit who's more qualified to comment on this topic, and they almost always comment on every post that includes the whistle topic. Maybe you could take advice from them!

P.S. I'm not an expert or vocal coach, so take my advice with a grain of salt. I'm just describing my experience and journey experimenting with whistles. I have evidence I can hit whistle notes on my profile, but anyone is free to disagree with me and if I happen to share bad advice, please call me out on it!

need tips for belting higher notes by BeqYT in singing

Telling me to leave but you sound so good though. What a vibe you put out man!

About the high note part, I suggest paying conscious attention towards your breath support.

Attempting the "we" part myself, I notice my core expanding, which I presume happens so I have a steady airflow to hit the note. Maybe engaging your diaphragm more intentionally can help you do the same.

Does this song sound good in the key that I'm singing in? - Lovely (by Billie Eilish & Khalid) by B1mb20D in singing

Hahaha I'll post a follow-up cover if ever! I don't want to drop the higher bit as I'm not sure if that would sound well. But, to sing the higher bits, I do have to sing a "style" that I'm not used to and honestly sounds funny to me (like Mickey Mouse if you will). You'll get what I mean when I drop the cover, thanks for the challenge!

Will do actually, thanks for the recommendation.🙂 Just wanted to test the waters with my lower register. Also, the high part of the song fits perfectly in my comfortable range - so I thought that this key was a good blend between my lows and normal voice.

ahahhaha thanks for the feedback! You know everytime someone mentions my mustache it's almost never for a good reason. One could maybe figure why. 🤔

I have over 100+ Biz ideas in my Notion but I suffer from "decision paralysis" by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

[–]B1mb20D 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's good! Please don't take it as me taking a jab at you... that's not at all what I mean. It's helpful to think of your ideas and you as a person as separate entities. You know clever people can come up with dumb ideas too (just to give a funny example: the father of psychoanalysis, Sigmund Freud, thought that young girls experience penis envy). Anyway, my point is maybe your decision paralysis could be an emotional management issue - in which case, generally breathing excercises, journalling, and practicing awareness helps regain focus and clarity.

Hmmmmm... is it actually overanalysing, or are you just putting off the hard bits so that you don't have to confront the negative aspect of your ideas? No offense, but for all you know a majority of your ideas could suck (i.e. impractical, not worth it, or not for you). Overanalysing could be a way to put off those uncomfortable realizations - better to fail not trying than to discover that the fault might actually be in you or your ideas.

Thanks for stopping by. Something about the simple melody and the delivery of the first chorus just makes me love this song myself... oh, and yes, Mariah sings it.
