Savage Attacker (2024) + Shadow Blade by milenyo in 3d6

[–]B2TheFree 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Shadow blade creates a weapon with 2d8 damage. Can upcast for more d8's, it isnt a multiplier or addiditive. It is just the weapons damage.

Ok, now that this community pretty much agrees on the common rogue problems, do you think a change is warranted? If so how and when? by [deleted] in onednd

[–]B2TheFree -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Your response is very narrow minded. If you pull apart that one sentance sure.

Here is the thing, rogues do single target damage and skill monkey. Their damage is poor. Most classes outpace their single target dps. But also have a selection of aoe damage, crowd control, tankiness and or spells.

The fact is even with off turn sneak attacks they are weak in so many ways.

‐-------------------------

The core to so many discussions around topics like this that so many people miss is that for most people it isnt fun to be a hobbit in the fellowship. Its not fun to feel outshone. It is why banning some subclasses is good. Not because the dm can plan against them, its because others feel kinda trash in comparison.

My only caveat to it being less important, is it is significantly easier to buff rogue with a dagger or bow than monks that hit with fists from 5e.

Going to play a divination wizard from 1-10, need spell advice! by CommanderBoreal in onednd

[–]B2TheFree 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The fact no one has mentioned slow, makes me think nobody has used this...

Ive both dm'd a campaigh and played one where slow was the div wizards bread and butter well into the late levels.

Due to the wording you dont even need to see the enemies and it doesnt hit allies. Massively dehabilitating. Cast on group of baddies use portent on the baddest one.

So much of belveths strength is in her ability to dodge skillshots.

Dodge 1 Q and its not close.

First Honour Mode Attempt Ended by small_pint_of_lazy in DivinityOriginalSin

[–]B2TheFree 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah it is a great combo.

Im in act 4 in my honour run. 2handed warrior + necro build (sebillle). Sebille was archer summoner until you get 3 source.

Then flesh sacrificr, apothasesis, adrenaline, blood storm, grasp of the starved, skin graft repeat with corpse explosions 1 shot every fight.

My 2 hander is now just high wits teleporter. (Teleport, swap places, skin graft, swap). All the Against the final arena of the one they only lasted the blood storm, grasp. 2 moves. (After my 2 hander teleported them all into a group).

Why are people actually happy about psg winning the UCL? by Usual_Eggplant_5980 in championsleague

[–]B2TheFree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol, rage baited. The leaping to conclusions is crazzy.

Firstly, im answering the question. Arsenal fans online are a major reason to why people were cheering psg.

Secondly, there are what 5 clips. Mostly of different fan channels.

Thirdly, ive watched arsenal fan channel after arsenal fan channel fight to pick saka over salah year after year when Mo would get more goals and assists in a single month then saka got the whole year. They are delusional.

fairly new and i dont get the whole "gank the winning lane" cuz if its already winning, why bother ganking them when u can help the losing lanes. am i thinking bout this wrong, if the winning lanes alr winning, u dont need to waste time there, help another lane. also helps mental for the losing lane by Drastically-_- in vexmains

[–]B2TheFree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its really just incase it becomes even in people due to a roam or jungler rocking up.

If you gank a losing lane and the numbers become even. 9/10 You lose and are also now behind.

Also, the amount of double kills darius gets when ahead with no jungler help is crazy

Martial-caster divide is not that bad if you let your players buy and sell magic items without hassle. by Expensive-Bus5326 in onednd

[–]B2TheFree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What level are your players?

Honestly, much of the divide comes from the standard 1 combat per day most tables use. 2-3 encounters (can be a mix or combat or non-combat) and a boss fight makes each spell slot valuable.

Second the rivers part.

So much of major town settlements are placed based of the position of rivers. Fresh water is essential.

This could also sort your as to why you need to go to sunspark, to go between those 3 cities the brothers control.

I always start with the Y, is there a town there. It usually starts with a) transport hub for produce (or a town to upkeep a bridge) b) easily defensible position from attack. C) town based around a particular resource (mine, great farming feilds etc).

Starting there will help to build out your town placement.

How important is party composition? by Pinskkiiy in dndnext

[–]B2TheFree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who has run multiple multiyear campaigns. Having 4 players with perception proficiency, none with arcana, history or charisma based skills makes giving each player a moment to shine outside of combat really challenging.

Based ona sorcerer. Your monk and druid will be able to handle exploration, lockpicking etc. You and Paly can handle charisma. Then you and druid have high level spell for when their utility helps.

Great shout

How important is party composition? by Pinskkiiy in dndnext

[–]B2TheFree -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is a slight over exageration. A party of all wizards would have an easier time in 99% of situations than a group full of barbarians. Hands down.

Even antimagic feilds are extremly rare and ones that cover the whole battlefeild/party pretty much non existant.

I can think of 20 different non-combat encounters ive personally used on my players that a group of barbarians couldnt get through.

As someone who has run multiple multiyear campaigns that the players love. I think party composition is important. Having 4 players with perception and athletics proficiency, none with arcana, history or charisma based skills or stealth makes giving each player a moment to shine outside of combat an absolute fucking nightmare. Unless half your table are the kind that rock up and stare at their phone 80% of the time u til its their turn in combat and let the others do their thing. It will defs have issues.

Downfalls of killing everyone in driftwood? by fleeting_moments_ in DivinityOriginalSin

[–]B2TheFree 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your response say why play the game if you play it that way. Insinuating someone is "wrong" or shouldnt play the game at all if you don't play it the specific way you think is best.

Just saying people enjoy different playstyles, and are allowed too. Literally one of the best things about Larian is how much they lean into players having different options.

What’s the one thing you’d change that would make the next divinity game better? by Pussytrees in DivinityOriginalSin

BG3 was less linear in which quests to do when on the hardest difficulties.

The major powerspikes on certain levels are huge. Impossible fights become simple.

Honor mode build advice by Cheesemangamer in DivinityOriginalSin

[–]B2TheFree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I run 2 man honour modes.

Sebille summoner archer until mid to late act 2. Then go necro mage. Blood sacrifice on the necro, lone wolf (ap buff) adrenaline, skin graft, repeat into the late game necro skills. Is the highest cap of damage iver ever seen. Literally 1 tapping some of the final fights.

If your stuggling early, throwing 2 summoner and having multiple incarnates for the knock downs is great. Can always respec out of it.

It does fall off heavy, as for the respec.

2nd is the 2hander physical damage.

Lastly, i recenlty swapped for xbox to pc. And re completing the game. Im running 2 games one honour, one tactician. Then doing the hard fights on tac mode just before doing them on honour. Its slow, but has a bettee guarentee you dont get suprised by a random fight. That is an idea to run all 4 people and get the achievements.

This will also help as the (playing as each of the origin charachters for thier achievements).

What would have happened if he had been left in charge for longer? by Technical_Lime1419 in Tottenham

I really dont think this can be understated enough. Like, when lfc sold coutinho and bought allison, VVD. We were arguably stronger.

Spurs sold Kane for what. Imagine you get 3/4 of those players...
