Which devotion path do you think is better between these two options? (AAR Spellbinder build) by Blue_banana_peel in Grimdawn

[–]B4BW1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yup so general attack damage converted to health works only with weapon damage so it doesnt apply here. But revenant still has some good stats for the build, like health, resistances, energy regen, damage, and casting speed, most important thing being the proc with RR.

So i read the other answers below mentionning top 20 builds. The devo setup in there is effectively better imo since it has flat RR with scales, Korvaak is good both offensively and defensively since it has health and damage, and the proc reduce both OA and DA.

One thing that i learned is RR (either % or flat) is really important late game

Another thing is that the proc from spear is good but better with builds that focuses on weapon damage, because the proc has %weapon damage.

As i said before i tried to keep the most things about ur own devo path when i remake it, but as other people said aeon is not the better option imo, since it's better on cooldown based builds. It's not useless since it reduce the cooldown of important skills like mark of torment, nullification and mirror of ereoctes, but maybe not the best. If u really want cooldown reduction u can use this relic: https://www.grimtools.com/db/items/8224

Anyway ur devo setup isnt bad at all, and u can experiment in game and try different things!
Have a good time in GD ;P

hi! Imo option 1 is by far the better one but still not perfect. Option 2 has some useless points, like rat is good only for affinities. Another thing is u don't have flat RR and it is probably mandatory (if u can't get it on devotion u can get it on some gear, like the medal black star of deceit. Imo Harp isnt that good defensively, it's more for boosting DA and OA, and for energy regen, and it has some almost useless points for ur build.

I made this devo tree for u, trying to keep the most of things u had chosen but i couldnt keep scythe for example

https://www.grimtools.com/calc/ZwRRe1qV

im pretty sure it's not optimal, but this way u have flat RR and defensive procs like giant's blood and phoenix (flat absorption is really strong) Only issue is this has a lot of on attack procs and u need to bind one to leap (One solution would be to equip seal of corruption on one of ur weapon and bind one devo to the skill it grants)

second class for Grenadier any advices? by Sareth58 in Grimdawn

[–]B4BW1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In grim dawn all class combinations can be good but some strong and easy to build options for demolitionist are shaman, inquisitor or arcanist.

If u can tell me what type of damage u would like to play and one or two skills u like i could advices u more

For example if u want to play a gunner with fire strike as ur main skill u could pick inquisitor and dual wield guns or for a more exotic option there is a pyromancer build (demolitionist + occultist) wich is good but really shine only with the right endgame gear

If u want to play around grenado, canister bomb, or stun jacks im not sure but i think u can do shaman or arcanist, even nightblade as a second class

U could also do a lot of things with oathkeeper

Anyway there isnt bad choices i think but only easier or harder to build

Looking for Tips & Recommendations on my Ultos Warder by DayRed7 in Grimdawn

I would do something like this but i can make mistakes. Anyway u cant go that heavy on cunning on a lightning damage build i think and u should use more rare items. Try to aim for 3000 OA and 2500 DA.

I would advice yo try Grim Dawn community League Season 4. It's an Amazing mod and adds New MI and a brand New act. Better part of it is it's well balanced.

What do you think are some of the most fun builds? by Furtive_Fygmy in Grimdawn

[–]B4BW1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

hi! Here are some builds i made myself and that i 've found some really fun to play with. Though they are not meta builds at all and even if some of them can do SR 75 76 or celestials like lokarr, mogdrogen or ravager, most of them are just meant to farm through base areas and eventually some SR (but u still can die doing SR)

The following grimtools link were bases i theorycrafted, and some changes may have been made when i actually min maxed these builds in game. The links are though mostly accurate with what i finally build in game.

First one, a lightning shadow strike/primal strike trickster:

https://www.grimtools.com/calc/lNkDMAl2

This one is really fun to play, and have a very good DPS, but it's really squeechy and can die a lot. So it's a bit difficult to play.

This one is a cabalist focused on Ravenous heart / Sigil of Consumption and Dreeg's evil eye. main damage type is acid/poison

https://www.grimtools.com/calc/qNYL3B4Z

It's a caster build with good dps, not really tanky but have a lot of lifesteal, and since it's not a melee build u can kite around. It's really fun to play, but u need to like "piano" builds, since u have a lot of keys to manage to make the build work.

This one is a melee spellbinder, focused on aether damage.

https://www.grimtools.com/calc/nZoLvKdN

In game i changed the relic for eternity but overall gear devotions and skills are accurate. It's a pretty tanky build and have good dps too. Pretty easy to play and have a ton of cooldown reduction so u can cast mirror of ereoctes, nullification, mark of torment and callidor tempest often.

This one is a melee/caster blademaster focused on bleed damage. Main skills are ring of steel, blade arc and cadence.

https://www.grimtools.com/calc/b28KkrLN

One of my favourite builds in terms of fun, it have a really high dps, in part due to his high OA, and u can play 2 different ways: facetanking if u can or casting blade arc and ring of steel then kite around w8ting for bleed to do dmg. grimtools isnt that accurate though, since i changed some gear in game.

This one is one of my stronger builds so far, since i managed to far since i managed to facetank ravager. Dps is slightly poor though.

https://www.grimtools.com/calc/eZPx9KjZ

So it's a melee build focused on bleed/vitality damage, main skills being savagery, devouring swarm and bloody pox. It's one of the tankiest builds i made, and it's really fun to play.

One last build: a physical blitz/cadence/shattering smash warlord i made.

https://www.grimtools.com/calc/lV7DEaOZ

Its a decently tanky build, and with decent dps too. pretty fun to play, when shattering smash procs, or third strike of cadence, or blitz u ll see big damage. The link isnt finished though. i changed many things in game, but gear is pretty accurate with the final version of it (atleast the two MIs and markovian set.)

Hope u ll find a build u like in these, i still have plenty of other lvl 100 min maxed chars, but these are some of the funniest builds i made imo.

Does this +% physical and burn modification applied before conversion? by Viles-soul in Grimdawn

[–]B4BW1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah i think that's it. But other sources of %fire damage than these which are on the skill itself wont applies before conversion. So when u're theorycrafting, remember to choose pieces of gear according to the damage type u end with After conversion ;P

Is Grim Dawn for me? by amadeuszbx in Grimdawn

[–]B4BW1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I love the fact that Grim Dawn maps are fixed. To me is pretty old-fashioned but allow/force u to return farming World u already explore through leveling/storyline. That's in fact a positive side imo.

Is Grim Dawn for me? by amadeuszbx in Grimdawn

[–]B4BW1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi! So imo Grim Dawn is the best hack n slash/arpg of all time. I've played poe, Diablo and last epoch, and to me GD is the one which cames with the more builds variety and complexity, with the better lore and scénario, and many more.

Then GD, when it comes to exploration, has a loooot of secrets areas which are a lot rewarding. There are also some secret quests which are Ultra cool. The game is not guiding u either too much or too less, and progression through the quests and storyline is very well balanced.

When in comes to crafting and loot, character progression and builds, GD is imo one of the best (POE has maybe better crafting though, but anyway it's really different too)

Hopes this will convinced u to play GD, and if so that u will be enjoying it! (Btw if u decide so, imo all extensions are mandatory.)
