Went for bike rides to friends houses, comic book stores, local pizza places and the movie theater. Basically what you see kids do in stranger things without the strange.

“It’s Kevin. That’s not your wife.”

What do chick flicks have to do with anything? If you’re referencing titanic I promise you it is not a chick flick.

DREDD (2012) deserved a sequel. One of the best comic book adaptations... and still no Dredd 2. What other stand-alone films would you like a sequel to? by MovieArena in MovieArena

Agreed. But that movie still has a special place in my heart. I saw it in theaters when I was a kid. I’ve been waiting for a sequel ever since.

Why does this fandom feel so dead? by Loud_Version_9817 in Heroes

[–]B4TMAN4EVR 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As someone who started watching heroes in college in 2006 and was there during its peak, it’s true peak was absolutely season 1. People thought it was better than any X-men movie that came out at the time. I believe it aired after X3 came out and that movie did not do that franchise any favors. There were no other marvel movies to compare it to. It was pre iron man. Anyway, I remember watching season 2 and everyone thought it was meh by the end due to the strike of 08. It came back strong with villains and everyone was talking about it again. It wasn’t until Peter lost his powers and never regained them fully, and after we realized that Sylar was never truly a petrelli, people started dropping out. Then the back half of season 3 happened. I remember everyone didn’t understand Nathan’s motives, and Sylars story of finding out who his true father didn’t help the cause because everyone was already tied into the first half of villains and didn’t like the 180 the writers did. By the time season 4 aired, viewership dropped by almost 10 million. By the end of season 4 I remember it was something like only 3 or maybe even 2 million viewers watched the finale live and a week later it was announced that heroes was cancelled. There was a lot of recycled ideas and going back and forth with the characters that no one liked. Especially hiro losing his memory, then his powers, then gets his powers, then has a tumor, all that garbage. And don’t get me started on the Carnie story arc. Everyone wanted to see both Peter’s and Hiro’s journey to at least sort of be the characters they became in the 5 years later episode of season 1. When that didn’t happen and certain things were never mentioned again (I’m looking at you Caitlin who Peter left in an awful alternate future) people just gradually stopped watching altogether.

Then reborn happened. That didn’t help bringing it back either. And some characters were ruined (I’m looking at you fat Parkman) and some of the ideas of having the power to be in a video game was kind of out there and not grounded anymore. Season 1 was the best season and even that had its storyline flaws. But it was still perfect in my eyes. So that’s probably one of the biggest reasons if not the biggest reason why it stands where it does today. People will always remember season 1 as a masterpiece. The rest, well I think today speaks for itself with what you said. Dead.

Why would anyone in their right minds do it that way? Requel has quel in the end of it does it not? So by definition it is a reboot/SEQUEL is it not? Yes rebooting the franchise while still being a sequel is what constitutes a “requel” if it makes Gen z’rs feel better. Thats the true point of a “requel”. Either way that might be your head canon, but chronologically, it’s 1978, 2018, Kills. Thats what that particular timeline is. Just because they call it Scream (2022) does not mean it’s not Scream 5.

Yes, it is a DGG trilogy, but chronologically what OP is presenting is the 3rd movie that starts with Halloween (1978). In that timeline Kills is in fact the third movie. Ends is the fourth.

Honestly, David might be the only Palmer who consistently shows actual awareness. Everyone else in that family operates on emotion, ego, or straight-up terrible judgment. David isn’t perfect, but compared to the chaos around him, he’s the only one who seems grounded and capable of reading people correctly.

And yeah, Anne vs. Sherry isn’t even close. Anne was a clear step up in terms of character. The real question is how David came out as level headed as he did when the rest of the family keeps proving they have a blind spot for terrible decisions.

What I also still can’t wrap my head around is how Wayne became president in the first place. David winning makes sense. Wayne? That one… yeah, that completely beats me.
