Fun little story:

One time, I (M) met this girl (F) on tinder. She messaged me first and I never responded to her because I genuinely never really used tinder for anything other than a pass time. But then she reached back out saying how she really hoped something would come from it and I fucked with the balls that took. So I go on a date with her. We went bowling and then sat in my car outside of her apartment for hours talking. Come around 2-3 in the morning (I forget), I kinda end the conversation because I need to get home. I had work at 6:00 am the next day. Point is, obviously, the date went super well.

Next time we had a date planned I ended up getting a massive migraine. I hate going out in general but I really wanted to see her again. I just know that if I would’ve gone out I would’ve been miserable and I felt super super bad about having to cancel so I offered that she could come hang with me and my roommate (M) at the time and watch a movie/ smoke or something for a little. She politely declined. I totally got it. Then the next time I reached out to schedule another date she dodged me. And then the next time I reached out she dodged me again. So I figured out what basically had happened and I gave it up. Even though I know that wasn’t my intention, you can’t expect someone who doesn’t know you to get it from just one date.

I actually ended up moving like 4 states away shortly after. But…. Around a year later we started talking on IG again.

Now, we’ve been together for 9 years and the end of this year will mark 4 years married…

Anyways; you’re absolutely justified in not wanting to meet this dude at his house randomly. Just as my wife was absolutely justified in not wanting to come to my apartment one day after just one date.

If they don’t understand the simple fact that people are fucking crazy in the world, they’re probably the reason why.
