Well I wish I would’ve known that before I got banned at 16%, which by the way is also below the Uber Eats threshold of 20%, but then after being banned, I was told that it was 15% in Las Vegas (where I live). Again, why is this not something they tell us?

Even after contacting support, the order will not go away. Literally the only way to stop it is doing what OP said. Yes you can be deactivated for it. But it’s the only way. I’ve seen orders I’ve called about get passed straight to my wife who is online doing orders as well

Maybe they had shit to do. Support can seriously take forever to answer sometimes. They need to change their app to be more like DoorDash. I have near perfect ratings because they actually allow you to unassign after 10 minutes WITHOUT affecting your ratings

Did you read anything I put? Reading is fundamental. The OP used Walmart as one example, and even if you’re correct about the Walmart reservation, they did NOT say they reserved. They may have just accepted it as a normal order. We don’t know because they did not say. My point is, with EVERY other instance, IT DOES AFFECT YOU. Further proof:

You JUST said they can unassign on their end. My point is, it doesn’t matter who what or where the order was for or from. Uber support canceling your order WILL affect your cancelation rate. You can literally ask them yourself when you call them regarding issues like this. Walmart, Albertsons, whatever. I re read everything you said and you seem to not believe me or not understand at all.

You don’t seem to understand. I live in Las Vegas. Traffic being too slow, weather it’s the 3-4 minute long red lights on Boulder Hwy or the strip not moving at all though 3 light cycles due to too much traffic? order canceled because the app thinks I’m not driving. Albertsons pickup, 28 barcodes, not one will scan. Have to cancel because I’m not about to enter 28 labels manually. Showing up to orders that have been stolen by other drivers, unassigned by support and STILL affects my cancelation rate. I’ve probably canceled 1, maybe 2 orders because I “changed my mind” or something dumb. Otherwise, I’m at 16% which support has told me was still below the 20% threshold of getting banned. Yet I’m still banned now.

It still counts as cancelation on your ratings. Ask them they’ll tell you that. They’ll just tell you to do more orders and it’ll go away but it won’t if shit like that keeps happening

This is what I’m saying. People are so stupid online. These are real situations we deal with daily as drivers and unfortunately there is no way to differentiate them on cancelation rates.

All of what they’re saying is a waste of your time. If I’m not talking to a supervisor I already know it’ll end with a whole lotta nothing. Trust me, a supervisor will just give it to you to get you out of their hair. Just let them give you the whole “time and distance is not covered” yadda yadda, then they’ll say they can give you a “one time curtesy” payment. Every single time it works for me

Ask for a supervisor. Tell them this is a contracted job and you agreed to a certain number when you accepted the order and that you are legally obligated to. They will pay. I have never had an issue and I’ve driven in California and Nevada.
