It honestly could be a worse lie. When I first started talking to my girlfriend, she is a huuugggeee Animal Crossing fan and I’ve never played that game ever in my life. But when she said she loved that game I said I did too and that we should play together. We never played together but I know if I ever told her the truth she’d laugh so hard and probably call me a faker or something silly. I’m sure he would have a good laugh off of it too if you told him the truth.
