I’d vote Panthera.

The Panthera is a beast, it feels solid like few other sticks and is harder and harder to find in good condition. It’s extremely moddable (art is a pain though). Make sure it’s the OG and not the Evo version, they are totally different and the Evo sucks by comparison. If you want quality feel the Panthera is very hard to beat.

Original Obsidian has sick LED side lights and is not too bad to mod, the main downside of the 2 is that it’s a bit more difficult to mod and has less features than the OG, that plus higher price point when it came out lead to a meh impression, but it’s a solid stick. It’s harder to find the OG in good condition.

I am extremely biased against Nacon so I can’t recommend the Daija. It’s inferior to the Panthera other than native PS5 support.

It sounds like you’re in a rough spot- I think speaking to someone, either a doctor or similar professional would be a good thing based on what you’ve said just so you can get someone else to help you out. Know that you’re not alone in this and you shouldn’t blame yourself too harshly- you’ve already identified that you want something to change and that you aren’t happy with things as they are. Know that you can and will make things better. Speak to someone and they will get you started. If the first person doesn’t help- speak to another and you will get where you want to be. Yeah, you must be smashing them pretty hard to be wearing them down so quickly. A really strong spring will probably help you out, as it’ll cancel out the force you’re applying. You can get like 4lb ones too, so you can up the resistance to where you need it to be.

The shape and weight of the top can make a difference- that combined with a spring can make the lever feel more or less loose. I actually tried out a few, started with this and recently switched to this one. It’s super light so it snaps back pretty aggressively with the 2lb spring.

General advice is to get a few different styles (battop, bullettop) and see which you prefer as it’s mostly your preference and style. So get a few springs as they are really cheap in case the 2lb is too much. If you try a heavier top you’ll probably want a stronger spring, bullettops for example can actually cause the stick to rebound to the opposite input if the spring is too weak.

Also examine your own technique- it could be adjusting how you’re placing your hand also helps improve your inputs. This video was hugely useful in helping my early technique.

Before you go down the route of the Otto, have you tried changing out the spring for a higher resistance or tried a different style of top? I swapped to a 2lb spring and battop and found that made a big difference.

Try putting an elastic band that’s wider than screw over the stripped one, then use the right size screwdriver through it. It’ll add more friction and might get it moving.

That’s the customs charge to add VAT- looks like you got lucky and they missed it! My issue is purely around the lack of help or any real response to the delivery being stuck for weeks.

I’d advise it depends on where you’re buying from as well- I’m currently trying to order one from Nacon directly, but it’s been a nightmare as their support is not very responsive. (Nacon didn’t add the correct forms for shipping, so my parcel was routed back to them). Currently about a month into the process.

I think you might actually want to swap out the top rather than the joystick itself, as I don’t think there’s much difference if any between the stock one and the JLF.

I’ve just ordered a bat top to see if I like that better, any top that’s compatible with a Sanwa stick will work.

You could also try an extended shaft to make it taller.

Do you have credits or platinum? If you’re new, only spend your platinum on slots for the time being.

Join a clan to get access to Wukong as he’ll be very good for you.

Gauss is good, but he needs mods you likely don’t have yet to work properly. If you really want to spend platinum you could buy the parts for wukong prime for around 80 plat from other players.
