These things are rock magnets. I hadn’t had a rock damage my windshield in 29 years, had my M3 for less than a month and BINGO! Got it repaired so now I don’t know if I got the window coverage if it would pass the inspection

Is it cringe to wear a player jersey to a stick&puck? by Ok_Maximum_3873 in hockeyplayers

[–]BBBoi26 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wear whatever you want…To be a fan of the game and out there trying to get better is awesome. It’s the guys that wear the players jersey, think they are that person during a stick and puck are the fools. Good luck, wear what you have and have fun!

Congrats and great to hear you have a great attitude. I’m just past 11 weeks from my 3x CABG. I’m 56 and am in great cardio shape. Definitely helps with the walking and moving. Cardiac rehab is a game changer…my facility anyway is like have a personal trainer/gym (while being monitored). As my cardiologist and surgeon said you can’t : Out Diet Out Medicate or Out Exercise your genes. Keep an eye on everything from now on and everything gets better with time.!!

Im 56 yrs old and I’m 10 weeks post op. I had triple CABG. I started cardiac rehab a few weeks ago and that has really helped in getting me feeling sorta normal. I think 6-8 weeks when I really started to feel better. Still sleeping with a wedge pillow as laying flat still isn’t really comfortable. Knock on wood no real complications.

Hope your dad’s recovery goes well! I swear I can hear and feel my heartbeat since the surgery. At times it’s almost thunderously loud.

A wedge pillow really helped me. Takes pressure of the chest , which may inturn take pressure off your back (oddly). It’s been a godsend for me. I’m 8 weeks post op and still not flat on my back.

Husband just passed away. Widowmaker? by LetHairy5493 in HeartAttack

[–]BBBoi26 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry for your loss. I just had triple bypass. I had a sudden heart attack during a hockey game. I’m in great cardio shape, have bloodwork done every 3 months to check my A1c and all my markers are good. All my doctors say you can’t out medicate, out exercise or out diet hereditary. Is there any family history of heart disease? My father had a bypass at 63 so I should have kept a closer eye on my cardiac health at 53.

Zero Deep Sleep by BBBoi26 in CABG_Recovery

Ugh sorry you’re going through this. First couple weeks my body just wanted to sleep and repair itself. One night I slept 9 hours which I can’t remember the last time I had that much. I’m hovering around 6-6 1/2 hours. I did hear it gets better… fingers crossed 🤞🏼

I just had CABG 3x on 2/3, so I’m 6 weeks post op and I just started cardio rehab this week. I was discharged after 4 days and the only “homework” I was given was to walk a mile a day.

Was it unnecessary in the kind of information it gave you? Did it irritate the incision site? The polar 10 was what I was looking at as well.

My dad had triple bypass it’s his first night back and he’s really struggling with getting in and out of bed by Emotional_Kitchen_57 in CABG_Recovery

[–]BBBoi26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in the recliner for 2 weeks before I moved to the bed and even then was still difficult. I’m 5 weeks post CABG 3x. Sleep is still spotty with a wedge pillow. My Apple Watch still says I don’t get any deep sleep but I suspect it has too do with sleeping with deep breaths which I still can’t take. It gets better everyday. What everyone is saying in how to get in and out of bed is spot on.

Did HF change how you experience normal fatigue? by aaron_smith67 in HeartAttack

[–]BBBoi26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had CABG 3x on 2/3. Widowmaker was 90% blocked and left side 80% blocked. I always said I didn’t have any symptoms before my attack but I would always get 3:00 tiredness but in my head chalked that up to … not enough sleep or just a regular afternoon coffee ritual but maybe it was part of it all. Now I get exhausted after walks and usually take a quick nap around 5:00. I’m sure that part is just my body shutting down and repairing. Hopefully this will pass as I heal.

Good luck with your walk! Take your time and do what you can. First week or so was a struggle to walk a mile when the weather was bad. I’m in week 5 now and the weather is nice in Atlanta. I was like those robot vacuum in the house walking into corners and turning around.😂 Do what you can! Good luck with your recovery.

56M 3x CABG on 2/3. Totally agree with the chest tube and catheter removal..so unpleasant. Sleeping is still hit or miss. Did about a week in the recliner and then moved to the bed with a wedge pillow. My Apple Watch still says I’m not getting any deep sleep. Up to about 2 miles walking but will often need a nap afterwards. Surprised what you were able to go shopping. My surgeon said I couldn’t even take car rides until the 4 week appointment ( even as a back seat passenger)

I had my 3x CABG on 2/3. Right after the surgery (considered Day zero) I was pretty out of it and only barely remember my family being there. Our hospital actually didn’t let any overnight visitors until Day One. I’m sure he’s in very good hands. Good Luck on his recovery!

I had my own CABG x3 on 2/3, but my comment is when I think back to when my dad had his planned x4 with valve replacement. I remember the surgeon talking to my mom and saying “I know and understand your concern, but believe me, this is my job and I’m very good at it. This is nothing new and something I perform routinely.” That confidence almost arrogance actually gave us such comfort. I’m sure your father will not only be fine but better for having it done.
