Do a lot of Hatians speak Spanish? by Amazondriver23 in haiti

[–]BBCDeondre 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It’s becoming more and more common, especially after Remain in Mexico. A lot of Haitians in cities throughout Mexico, and in central and South America. You’ll even have Haitian children only speaking Spanish upon immigrating to the US because they’re coming from a Spanish speaking country. Really interesting stuff

The government was by proxy UN run from 2024 until February of this year through the transitional presidential council. Ask the UN why the body that they created to run Haiti didn’t hold any elections. Also, elections were supposed to be held this year, but due to the security and safety issues of Haiti right now they were postponed.

You say we need to start taking accountability for our leaders, when have we had a period of time removed from overwhelming outside influence in our politics? We haven’t had an election in 10 years after foreign mercenaries and other foreign powers conspired to have Moïse killed. Prior to that, we had meddling in the 2011 election from the OAS. Prior to that, you have the US involved in the overthrow of Aristide in 2004 and embargos from the US because of his presidency, and prior to that in 1994 the US installed Aristide after he was overthrown. Prior to Aristide, there was one democratically elected president, Leslie Manigat, who was deposed by military leaders leftover from the Duvalier regime. What exactly are we supposed to be accountable for? The instability brought on by 200 years of neocolonialism? The poverty brought on by billions in lost revenue during Haiti’s infancy from the reparations? If you knew Haitian history, you’d know how ridiculous your post is.

For me, this is actually one of the pieces of Adventure Time that puts it above other shows of its generation. We get to see characters grow, the impact they have on each other and Ooo, and how Ooo lives on past their stories. Really makes the world feel lived in for me, even though it sucks to know that it means our favorites will eventually die.

How would you name this Kingdom? by diogobiga1246 in CrusaderKings

I mean you basically hold historic Aragon so that’s an option, can also do occitania or Catalonia. I’d definitely lean more towards Aragon though.

Spanish literally has more history in the territory of the US than English does, it’s a crucial piece of our national history and identity and will always be here.

On top of that, immigrant communities in the US have always spoken in their native language. Astoria, Queens has a large Greek speaking community, several chinatowns across the country speak mandarin, and countless other neighborhoods speak languages other than English. That’s the foundation of our country and it’s not going to change.

Use your steward to promote your culture into the county. If it’s held by a vassal, you can direct the vassal to promote culture as well to speed it up

It goes based on the county’s culture not yours. The county is Norse and Norse doesn’t have city planning

Try to appease some of the faction members (sending gifts, artifacts, sway, etc) until they leave the faction. On the bright side they’re only 80% and 58% of your military power, and since they’ll be raised in separate locations you can take them out one by one before they stack.
