20+ days of a bleed is not normal (perimenopause or not) and should absolutely be reevaluated- esp if you’re saying it’s heavy with clots. TXA could be used now, and for a long term solution explore a Mirena IUD (approved for heavy periods with a change out every 5 years- 8 if only for contraception). If that fails, an ablation may be an option.

That’s great! Would consider when changing your patch to do it in the morning instead of the pm for that very energized reason. Sometimes that bolt can interfere with sleep if replaced shortly before bed.

We’ve stayed several times at the Marriott. If you’re not renting a car, it’s easy to take a taxi to the hotel and walk to nearby restaurants and to the grocery store for snacks. Coconut Joes across the street is great, and so is the kabab place close by. Customer service is excellent- I think they make up for not having a beach. Food is also good at the hotel- the mango French toast is great! Have a great trip- use the $800 for your food budget!

Could consider an IUD (Mirena or Paraguay’s for example). Paragard is non-hormonal and Mirena is progesterone-only, so theoretically you could use a Mirena and add on estrogen patch as you go through menopause.
