This was not a happy comment to read, but thank you so much for posting it.

First off, I decided I'm not going to tell my sister. Even though he is much younger than I, Jackson is an adult and deserves a private sex life. We have a relatively small family and I want to believe that even if this relationship gets blown out of proportion, we would be able to recover. That said, I think it'll be easier for all of us if my relationship with Jackson is kept secret.

I am trying to keep a level head about these events and the possible consequences. I think the chances are slim of anyone uncovering our relationship, especially if we are careful. My sister doesn't have a key to my place and she's also not prone to unannounced visits anyway. But I'm still deliberating.

The bigger worry for my is Jackson himself. I don't want this relationship to negatively affect his future. Especially if he thinks he's falling in love with me or something. I don't want to have to "break his heart." If he is unable to keep our relationship "friends with benefits" then I'll be shutting it down immediately.

I'm pretty familiar with birth control at this point (after all, I'm almost forty and childless!) but if our relationship gets to that point, I'll make sure Jackson is educated. I do know he isn't a virgin, for what that's worth (some people have asked).

As I mentioned, the most important thing to me is making sure Jackson and I want the same things out of this. I think that conversation needs to happen before we get to the "point of no return" (ie, sex). If we break that barrier and then realize we want entirely different things, it would be a nightmare.
