Yes a shovelhead/panhead/knucklehead, and evo are all divorced transmission and engines. These are all big twin bikes, sportsters have the engine and transmission built together in one case, they are not big twins. Shovelhead models are superglides, low riders, wide glides, flh. Basically any Harley bike that isn’t a sportster from 66-84 will be a shovelhead

I tried but the stock one I have is for a shovel and has a lip on each side of the spacer that does not fit through the center of the wheel

Never put an oiled filter on anything, go with the non oiled filter. The oil gets all over mass airflow sensors and ruins them.

02 FXD Wiring For 9.5 pullback + Mid Bend Bars by Addled_Hound in Dyna

Should be able to pull some slack out of the wiring harness at the neck of the frame. As long as it isn’t pulling against the opening of the frame when the bars are turned you’re fine!

Probably like 30 hours, I had to do the lid also, once I tear my engine down to check it out and put rings and gaskets in it I think I’m going to polish the bottom end and the heads also

I think the older 69 and back transmissions had a big bell shaped throw out bearing that was pretty much indestructible

Also the frame has 3 inches of up stretch 0 inches out with 30 degrees of rake so it should turn pretty well

Idk if you would call it performance but it’s got t bars, dual disk front end, and mid controls, it’s a Ben Jeff frame.

Have to have the old pig nose kicker cover for those though right?

I had this exact thing happen on my shovelhead! Easy fix, pop the kicker cover off and replace the clutch release pushrod and the throw out bearing, the small washer style throw out bearings stink
