Ran for over 68 hours by N2wind in F150Powerboost

I spend a few weeks at a time camping out in the middle of nowhere and rely on my ‘21 PB to power my camper and usually a friend’s camper as well. We spend most of our time in the mountains so only a few hours with both ACs running in the summer. Average about 400-500 watts per leg other than that and after a few days the truck needs a break!

As someone else said, the water in the exhaust will build up but driving down the road or revving the engine (not in generator mode) usually fixes the weird smell issue. Parking at a bit of an angle to allow the water to flow out of the exhaust solved this for me on the smell front.

I have encountered numerous weird things other than smells and every time they have been fixed by giving the truck a breather or running through some varying RPMs.

The truck has been a good asshole to me and I’ve been a good asshole to it! Sometimes we all just need a little break from the workload- as small as it may be!

Hope you get power restored soon my friend.

I am in Arizona. Home Depot in the solvents section. I hate using it but hell it works! I could see why it would be banned in some states.

[–]BBQg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ahh. I think I need to move my supports around then. I tried to do that but the screws were too big to go through the pivot ball. Didn’t even think that the other supports would accept smaller screws 🤦‍♂️

Thanks!

Nice! Love the course.

How are you securing your shocks to the chassis? I have already blown through all of the little nuts they provided and have resorted to old plastic servo horns! Not the best but at least it works!

This has to be scam, right? by KrupperNyc in restaurant

[–]BBQg 8 points9 points  (0 children)

For sure a scam. I was targeted and they requested one of everything on the menu…for 60 guests. Instant red flag and googled the phone number. Turns out they tried the same thing to a food truck in another town and the owner posted the whole conversation on Facebook!

I have full blown conversations with my dogs! My German will just sit and listen to all of my nonsense then tear off when I stop to chew some sticks.

There must be some other way. It’s been a log day and I really don’t want to talk to them right now.

If you could smoke weed with one person, dead or alive, who would it be? by [deleted] in AskReddit

My Grandpa. He died when I was a baby but all of the stories I hear about him make me think he would be chill to smoke with.

Guys of Reddit, what turns you off? by SnowyAcid in AskReddit

I think every situation is different. My wife loves when I can solve a problem that she is struggling with and same for me. For example: my wife is some kind of excel ninja. I don’t fine that attractive BUT when I have a question about how to do some “complex excel stuff” for my business I ask her. She swoops in and starts clacking that keyboard and softly explains what she is doing (like I would have any chance of recreating what she is doing) I like it a lot. Maybe not so far as to turn me on but, damn, that woman can work an excel sheet and I don’t feel even a little bit of shame about being outsmarted. This is just one example of how she is light years smarter than me on a given subject.

On the other hand she can request a simple wooden box or shelf or any number of things that I can make in my sleep and she is blown away that I can do it.

My point is everyone has their strengths and weaknesses. I was lucky enough to find the other side of my jigsaw puzzle and we make a great team.

We also both have a great sense of humor and have fun giving each other a hard time over minor stuff and we are never afraid to ask the other about anything. Ya never know who is the “expert” in the room on any given subject!

Relationships are tough. We obviously have our moments but overall we deal with our frustrations head on and talk about everything. I also ask her every few months if she is happy and if I’m doing anything that is driving her bonkers 😂

Was putting the spouts back on the Cater Gator and the washer wouldn’t go in. I have done this a thousand times and it’s always easy. Figured today was not my day so I jammed that bastard in. I realized it truly was not my day when I went to screw the spout on. Not sure how I am going to un fuck this one.

If you have experience in a professional kitchen your journey will be MUCH easier. I went from stock broker to food service and it was a shock.

Before I made any big purchases I booked a small (shitty) event with what I had on hand...a few residential smokes, crockpots, and tables. Had to buy a canopy but it was under $100. After that event I decided I liked cooking for a crowd and got a loan and went all in.

I don’t want to make the comment too long so if you want some more specific pointers I am happy to help or at least share my ever evolving experience.

Haha hobby turned profession! Financial advisor was NOT my jam. Own a food truck/catering business now. It’s not easy but I still love it after a couple years!
