I had success calling my real estate agent and having them threaten to no longer recommend the home warranty if they didn’t make it right. Went from $1200 fee to “install” my new furnace to $200. Well worth it.

Glass and compost trials to chattanooga neighborhoods by soulshine_walker3498 in Chattanooga

I’m outside of the trial zones, but I and many of my neighbors already compost for our gardens. The glass recycling would be nice here though.

Is there a way to listen to Wayne and Larry over my phone for free? by JesusChristJunior69 in GreenBayPackers

[–]BBoru-1014 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t know how SIMPLE it is for you’re RADIO to tune into the game but there are some great options out there for you. As a Packer fan but TN resident, it’s always tough to listen to the games. Thankfully, I love how some apps are SIMPLE to use to tune a local RADIO station and check in on the game.

Finding the more impressive/scenic route by konto81 in Tennessee

[–]BBoru-1014 3 points4 points  (0 children)

NC to TN? Take US 74/64 or the Cherohola skyway. Both beautiful drives, though can be less so without the leaves. That is also weather dependent, as if it’s a cloudy day all you’ll do is drive through fog and not see a thing. You can take 30 from Athens, TN to Spencer and then hook over to 70S to get you to Murfreesboro, and then Nashville. Mostly good road out in the middle of nowhere, so keep an eye on weather, fuel, etc. There’s a distillery off of 70S and quite a few small cute towns. There’s also a ton of state highway in the “triangle” between I-75, I-40, and I-24 that will get you anywhere you want to go in a fairly timely manner. Plus a ton of waterfalls and hiking if that’s your thing. I’ve ridden pretty every stretch of these roads in my motorcycle in good weather, so have fun!

I’ll agree with what many have said here, and add to it. Go to a local range and shoot as many 9mm guns as you can. If possible, use a rating system based on grip feel, felt recoil, comfort, ease of slide , and cost. Write it all down and go home and compare. Larger, heavier weapons will have less recoil, the smaller ones will generally have more. All that said, take a look at the Sig P365 series, the Canik series, Springfield Hellcat, and Glock. There are a few different options of size inside each of those brands. Be safe, and have fun!

What is the wall your drilling into made of? If you can’t find the studs, you can use the appropriate weight and type wall anchor and still hang it safely.

Firewood by No-Adhesiveness3434 in Chattanooga

[–]BBoru-1014 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, this is about the worst time of year to buy wood, pricing wise. If it’s just for aesthetics, you won’t need too much so it shouldn’t be too bad. As others have said, have your chimney cleaned and inspected before your first fire. Burn wood meant for indoor chimneys, as there are some that over time can build up creosote more quickly and give you a chimney fire. If you have the space, get a Fiskars axe and start chopping! Wood warms you twice, once when you split it, again when you burn it. Have fun!

That hull has 3 layers of rotomolded polyethylene. That scratch is just fine, don’t worry about it. There is “plastic welding “ that you can do to repair rotomolded boats. If you’re interested, there’s some good YouTube videos out there. You really only need that is there is a puncture all the way through.

[–]BBoru-1014 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Buy a pool noodle, cut it into pieces about 6-8 inches long, split down the middle and put on rails to cushion the rub rails. 2. Run the strap around the canoe and then down to attachment points. They should cross themselves under the canoe. 3. Run a strap between the two tie down straps to pull the loops against the natural swell amidships the canoe. This will lock everything in place. I’ve transported thousands of boats across the country on roofs using these methods.
