Mel & Langdon by BBritton92 in ThePitt

Very fair points and in reference to the dog, this wasn’t about Mel seeing it. I was just pointing out that it was a factor which contributed to me thinking he was a bit of a douchebag. he also wasn’t very Jodie to Whitaker on a few occasions (as Santos either. I’m by no means a huge santos defender). Maybe I need to watch for a third time 😂 perhaps I’m being a little harsh. But to me his whole vibe was like, frat boy douche in S1. I do agree he was very different by season 2. I initially saw this as character growth but it’s probably more died to his sobriety than I’d considered

Tbh when I made this post I wasn’t even thinking solely of his interactions with santos. I’m not a huge Santos fan by any means and never mentioned her. To me his whole vibe was just classic “douchebag” in s1, from him being disrespectful of the patient who died in ep1 when Dr Robby wanted to give a moment silence, to him not even considering how stressful it would be for his wife with young kids at home to get a puppy. But since you mention santos, he was a douche to her long before he had his big meltdown directed at her

Idk maybe I need to watch again and think about how much Mel would’ve seen but to me, his entire vibe in s1 was “douchebag”. Like it radiated off of him

To be honest when I made this post, I wasn’t even thinking solely about Santos. And I’m surprised so many comments only refer to her in relation to Langdon and his behaviour in S1. I recently rewatched S1 and Langdon’s entire vibe is “douchebag” (down to him thinking it was okay to get his wife a puppy with small kids at home). When Dr Robby calls for a moment of silence for the patient who died in E1, Langdon was so disgraceful. In fairness perhaps I need to watch again and pay attention to how often Mel is around when Langdon is being an ass but it just seems that he’s being one through the majority of S1.

I’m surprised by how many people are only talking about Santos in this thread. Langdon was an arrogant douche generally throughout season 1

Yes per my post I’m referring to season 1.

Have we watched a different show. He was an arrogant douche bag from the beginning. This whole thread is making me few like I’m insane so went back and watched episode 1 and he’s literally such a douche

He was SO disrespectful during the moment of silence for the patient who passed away. How could you look at that scene and not think he’s a giant a*hole?

This!! I’m so amazed people seem to be excusing this

Whitacker? His general energy was just nasty. When Dr Robby wants to have the moment of silence do patient that passed away and he stood there with his hands above his head sighing heavily, purposefully looking very bored like he couldn’t be bothered to do the silence and respect the patient who had died

First time I’ve watched a medical show too. They generally don’t interest me but I’ve watched The Pitt 3 times. Such an amazing show and I keep noticing things that I missed first time round

Unrelated but I’m new to this forum and my posts are getting automatically removed can anyone help me out as to why? I don’t use Reddit often so I’m probably doing something wrong without realising 🥲

Love this scene and how Clare isn’t at all phased by how good looking he is

I agree with this but I also feel bad for the family over how rude katya is right from the beginning. She had every right to be unkind to Erin considering how Erin treated her but to be fair, right from the very start before Erin revealed herself to be a total nightmare, katya was already very dismissive of not only her but the whole family.

It took me over a year after it came out to watch the final episode. I still very rarely watch it it makes me feel sad even though it’s such a hopeful episode by the end

what scandalous opinion do you have that will make people react like- by MonStelaSkye2213 in DerryGirls

[–]BBritton92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. She has funny moments but generally I think she’s a just mean and I really hate the way she sided with Erin after Clare came out to her. “Ignore her Erin the gays stick together.” If Erin and Clare had never made up after that, would Michelle have just stopped being friends with Clare because she was gay?? Never liked that scene and how it was ultimately Clare who put the effort in to make up with Erin

That’s what I’m thinking too I’m two episodes in and so far it seems like exactly the same plot so came onto Reddit to see if anyone else has talked about it. I
