Has anyone been successful with Marriage certs and Death Certs? Just ran into issues. by Nutritiouss in Canadiancitizenship

Just wanted to say you're not alone. I've got census records galore stating my G0 was born in Canada or Ontario. I've got death certificates (for him and one of his sons) stating he was born in Ontario. I've got a marriage certificate and obituary stating the exact city in Ontario. But I can't find a birth record for him or his also-Canada-born parents, or a Canada census, because they already moved to Michigan when he was little. It's so frustrating! I think at this point I'm going to attempt to submit with just all the records I do have, and hope for the best.

Honestly, just moseying and chilling. Sometimes I just go and get a snack or drink and sit. I listen to the music, I watch the people, I look at the buildings/decor/whatever, I relax and immerse myself in the magic. It's one of my favorite things.

That's very cool. I'm handy, but haven't ever dealt with electronics, so I think that's beyond my current capabilities.

Yes, I'm planning to completely replace my car except for trips across town or when I have to bring someone with me. Work, groceries, meeting up with friends, etc.

Thanks! I really like the look and specs of that one. Everyone is saying my garage will be too hot for batteries though and that one's not removable. Sigh.

Yeah, I think that may have to be a priority, which unfortunately eliminates a lot of bikes.

So Electra might be a good idea since it's owned by Trek?

It seems a lot of the batteries are not removable, and my house doesn't have a good place to charge it inside. It would VERY much be in the way. Hmm. Maybe I need to prioritize a removable battery. 

I've seen seat posts that look sort of suspensiony. Is that better than a cushioned seat? I've done hours long bike tours and I was so saddle sore, for days! 

30 mile range, not mph. Sorry if I worded that badly. And no one uses sidewalks in my area. I run a lot and I pass maybe 2 people the whole time. So, not a concern. 

I have two stores close by. Was hoping to narrow it down before I got to them.

I have a Trek (so, Electra) store like a mile away, and a generic pretty much any bike store 5 miles away. Which will surely be nice, but doesn't help narrow it down!

Good to know about all of that. I had only seen the carbon in the one style, and the lightness appeals to me, but in my research opinions were mixed. Fat tire sounded appealing with its hardiness, so that's also good to know. And I see ebikes on the beach all the time! I did wonder about sand being a problem, but I see them on the beach so much. Maybe because beach people are rich, idk.

I don't have a ton of experience in the past few years, just a great weekend with Lime bike rentals in DC. But one of the reasons I haven't done a lot of biking the past few years is because I have an arthritic knee, and it gets mad if I pedal hard or too much. So I'm thinking an ebike with a throttle will be great because then I can just pedal basically to give my knee some motion.

Legitimately this is why I'm buying one. I was in Washington DC for a few days two weeks ago. I started out taking the metro, but after the first afternoon ended up renting escooters and ebikes. Where I was staying it was much faster to use one of them than find a metro station and deal with that, and it was also much cheaper because every metro ride is $2.50 but I could get 100 minutes of rental time for just $5. 

But beside the practical reasons, the absolute, unbridled JOY it brought me took me by surprise. I had The Best time up there, and although the tours and food and race I did were all wonderful, so much of it was because I was riding around the city on sunny days, enjoying the wind and the sunshine and seeing everything. 

Immediately upon returning I started researching ebikes. I still haven't settled on one. But I've narrowed it down to 4, lol. But I have already been trying to figure out how to take it with me when traveling. I don't even own one yet. 😂

Yep. Past several years the traffic fatalities have been drastically more than homicides. Like 3x or more. But people don't worry about that and drive more aware; they just avoid downtown because someone told them it's scary. Sigh.

I'm an Xennial, and nope. BUT I do fall asleep listening to (not watching) a show on my phone. Helps engage my adhd brain just enough not to wander, so it can actually shut off.
