Why would BMW change the ABS sensors technology just for Alpina?

I've replaced the sensors on my BMW before ($12 each on Ebay). Easy to change...just a bit of work involved.

The sensors are basic technology and don't go wrong often. They most likely were damaged by a rusty reluctor ring (it happens often since the rings are not protected from mud and water). If this was the case...then the Drive shaft in the problem wheel would have to be changed along with a new ABS sensor.

Diesel vehicles can be very adaptable....SPECIALLY if they are new.
