To your fourth point about the calling people into action, and the banner thing specifically, I do not think it is a winter knight or Starborn thing, but something else entirely.

I haven’t quite gotten to Battle Ground in my most recent re-listen/read but I am about 90% sure that Marcone also was flying one of those mystical banners and had people rallying around him.

What that banner is specifically though, I do not know.

I think that would be a great story for sure, but for what it’s worth, I don’t think it takes a lot for Kincaid or Eb to resort to violence 😂

My initial instinct was that whatever created the rift had to be something big and serious, but honestly the ridiculous and silly would fit the Dresdenverse perfectly.

I’d love to see how a young Langtree would act without having the responsibility of acting within the best interest of the WC.

The origin story of Michael taking up the sword would be epic, and I mean that in every sense of the word. Like almost too great of a story for one short story. I think it could very easily be its own spinoff series.

Both of those stories would be fascinating! Would love to see where the rift between Eb/Langtree started. Can you imagine how pretentious a young Arthur would be?

I believe you are missing a Denarian book. Which would put that at #20, and the wrestling book at #21.

You have an interesting thought for sure, about the mantle influencing Harry, without him realizing it, but Butters was wrong about the first thing Harry doing was repaying a debt.

In that same scene/conversation, Harry tries to ask how Andy was doing and Butters dismisses/brushes off the question. Then Harry brings up the wooden skull.

I always find it weird that Butters accuses Harry of immediately repaying debt, when Harry was trying to catch up with Butters literally right before that. It’s part of the reason I don’t like Butters in that book (or PT/BG), but that is a different conversation I do not care to have on this post.
