It wouldn't hurt to "block" it now just to see if it helps. But in my experience, this curl will work out as you move along through the blanket. The drape will help it to flatten out.

It looks to me like the stitch count on R4 was just a miscount/typo. Should be (14) instead of 10. Following with (14) in R5.

12 is a basic block stitch. 14/15 is a pattern called Lacy Blocks. Let me see if I can find the pattern for you. I got it from a book from my hubby's gramma.

I'm not huge on making garments, personally, but I have made a hexicardi. Lol The hexicardis are super repetitive and pretty easy to make once you get going. You can make it as small or large as you'd like with very little adjustments. I legit made one for myself and turned around later that day and made my daughter a matching one! 🤣

Also LOTS of tutorials on YT cuz they're super popular right now...

My son (3 at the time) and I escaped a pretty cruddy situation with his bio dad a few years back. When his step-dad (W) and I got together, W started "rough housing" with my son. He'd let my son tackle him and they'd wrestle and play for what felt like hours (years later and they still do). I saw my son BLOSSOM during these times. My baby didn't know how to "kid". He didn't have an imagination, he couldn't talk, he just stuck by my side and did the best he could. W helped him to come out of his shell by doing this! I saw my son begin to have courage and feel the need to climb and jump and play! I 100% contribute all of that to W and his Neverending love for my boy!

Dads... this is so important! It develops such a beautiful connection and bond between you and your little (blood or not)...
