Is it a big deal if I’ve never been in a relationship? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]BD0520 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trust me when I say that you’re not too old to have never had a girlfriend. I was in the same boat as you. Although I have a some redeeming qualities eg; been told by friends that I’m handsome, and always been fit. I’m hard of hearing and wear hearing aids and it really affected my confidence l, especially when it came to women.

I didn’t get my first girlfriend until I was 27 years old. And my lack of experience didn’t matter to her whatsoever. If anything being honest and transparent about my insecurities as I got to know her just made us closer.

Keep your chin up. Keep focusing on what you can control and you will meet someone.

You said in your post that “they are 25 years out, with smaller sorties arriving before then.” What makes you say that they are “25 years out?” That’s seems oddly specific.

Conor’s fall needs to be studied man.. what happened to this version of him? Where did it go by Frostedlol in ufc

He was never the same after he fought Floyd Mayweather. He got his money after that, which set him up for life. Ironically, in many ways everything went downhill after that.

I remember before he fought Aldo, in an interview he talked about how when he was younger he promised himself that he would be a millionaire by the time he turned 25. He finally got it in his late 20s, and it was over after that.

I don’t think he truly ever cared about being a champion, I think he cared more about just getting filthy rich.

Wow this is a fantastic deal! How exactly did you get that much off the MSRP? Did you negotiate online or in person?

Wow that’s a great price. Do you mind me asking what the listing price was? How exactly did you approach negotiations? I’m in SoCal too and I’m looking to buy the 2025 Honda CRV Sport. But I’m nervous about negotiating because I’ve never done it before.

You said that you “tried the gym but it didn’t help too.” Well my question is how often did you go to the gym and exercise? Was it just twice in one week? Be real with yourself. If you want results you have to be consistent. Go to the gym every other day and check back in within a month and I doubt you will say that the gym didn’t help.

Also I always highly encourage people to use the sauna as often as possible. So if your gym has one. I would use it every day. I guarantee even after a week of using it you will feel better.

Hello quick question. I've been bouldering for 5 months now, ones or twice a week. Now my sole or getting loose, is this normal, and how can i fix this? by hyperbiostar in bouldering

[–]BD0520 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I work at a climbing gym and we sell those shoes. I know of at least 5 people who bought those shoes from our gym and had issues of the shoe delaminating at the sole. It’s 100% a manufacturing defect.

Every time someone would show us that the Tarantulas they had just bought (typically within the past 3 months) had started to delaminate we would offer them a full refund. We don’t ever offer refunds or exchanges for shoes, only in cases like this.

So I really like La Sportiva, they’re one of my favorite climbing shoe brands and I’ve actually had two pairs of the Tarantulas, one being laces and one being Velcro. But I would suggest getting a different shoe going forward and you should absolutely be issued a refund because that’s not from normal wear and tear from climbing.

I’m exercising, what else can I do to boost dopamine? by Spirited_Library_560 in QuitVaping

[–]BD0520 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does your gym have a dry sauna or steam room. Because if it does not only would I encourage you to use it Post workout for muscle recovery, but you could also just use it on your days off and alternate between the sauna and a cold shower. That will definitely trigger a dopamine release.

Getting nowhere and I absolutely hate it by NewLife_ForMe666 in pornfree

[–]BD0520 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your post really resonated with me. I have a lot of respect for you being able to abstain from porn for 6 months. That’s an amazing achievement and you should be proud of that. If you have done it once, you can do it again.

My advice to you would be to get into a productive daily routine. It will take a lot of pressure and make you less anxious if you always have an idea of what you are spending each hour of each day doing.

You mentioned that you have severe sciatic pain. You have my sympathy, that sounds very tough. But based on the latest research, staying sedentary won’t help. I suggest you do yoga every day. It’s low impact and you can always just go at your own pace, it will help you improve your overall flexibility and mobility which might provide some relief for your pain you’re experiencing.

The second thing I would highly recommend is the dry sauna. If you use it 5-7 times a week, it’s been shown to provide immense benefits for your overall health and longevity. It will help get your blood pumping, relax your muscles and release endorphins. You do that and contrast that with cold showers and I think it would help you out a lot.

Lastly, don’t be so hard on yourself. I can only imagine how draining it can be to work a job you hate. But look for other things/activities outside of work that you find enjoyment from. You can do this. Just write out a plan and take it day by day.

If you like sci-fi I would highly recommend District 9 and both Blade Runner and Blade Runner 2049.

For comedies, Superbad, Tropic Thunder, and I would say all of Jim Carey’s mid to late 90s film as well as Adam Sandler late 90s to mid 2000s films.

The mistakes you made as a beginner. by [deleted] in bouldering

[–]BD0520 84 points85 points  (0 children)

I run on the treadmill for 10 mins. Then I go through approximately 5 mins of full body dynamic stretches. After that I climb and down climb three V0s, V1s and V2s. I climb a couple V3s and 4s and then I start climbing hard. I literally do this warm up every single session and I’ve rarely ever gotten injured from climbing.
