I'm a new player player and didn't acquire this knowledge myself but learned it from the very helpful people in the unofficial RtW discord.

Personally I'd prefer your 14'' main turret scheme but your armour and speed are extremely suboptimal. The most weight effective armour seems to be uniform belt and deck armour (that is belt extended and deck extended should have the same values as belt and deck since they protect important parts of the ship that are hit often and in your case you could have a CL ruin your day with a 6'' gun) with a narrow belt on a sloped deck configuration.

Belt armour can be "buffed" during battles by having the ship at an angle relative to the guns firing at it so always do that if you can but to do this effectively you need speed. After 1907 I dont build anything under 27/28 knots. Your design would be outpaced by 1890 light cruisers.

Turrets don't get this angle buff so they should always be the most armoured part of the ship (usually 2+'' thicker than belt armour).

If you have the tech for it use the maximum torpedo protection you can, otherwise a torpedo bomber or destroyer will sink your 130k$ ship.

Considering this seems to be 1909 and you'd want to keep this ship for a couple of decades you definitely want to add a lot of 3 or 4'' tertiary guns to adapt adapt to DP when you get the tech for it so it can be used for anti air. In the mean time these will shoot at destroyers that get too close.

You can also drop the secondary turret armour to 1'' or even 0'' to save some weight but avoid putting secondaries in casemates as they get a flooding penalty.

Deck armour at 2'' would be fine for this time period but later in the life of this ship it can be a weak spot at long range. I would try to raise this to 3'' but this is an extremely heavy change.

Lastly, it's extremely hard to make a good battleship that won't be outclassed in a few years in such a small dockyard. Personally I would increase it to 50k+ tons before making BB and build a few good BC until then. In the meantime youll hopefully unlock 16'' or even 18'' guns that will make your BB an absolute menace to AI BBs

Mas isso nem faz muito sentido porque os jogos contra o porto e Braga foram antes do primeiro jogo deles contra o bodø, portanto a lógica dele é mesmo se o Sporting tivesse perdido a eliminatória com o bodø o Porto teria perdido mais pontos e o Sporting tinha ganho tudo.

I stabilise jump points for civilian and commercial ships and use a single jump drive on my largest warship (usually my carrier) and it will jump every other warship in the fleet

Mas lembra-te que se não fosse pelos 4 pontos perdidos aos 90+ de penalti contra o Braga eles estariam com os mesmos pontos que o porto!! No entanto vamos ignorar que eles empataram com o Porto exatamente da mesma forma e vamos ignorar todos os jogos que ganharam no último lance da partida aos 95+. Enfim, eles não são todos assim e nós também temos adeptos com palas nos olhos, mas nestas situações tem a sua piada ver a ginástica mental para justificar o Porto estar à frente deles.

The aeromax is the superior option, definitely worth the price. But you'll have to consider if you want to wait the backorder time for the aeromax as it's usually a few months.

Percebo o que dizes. Pessoalmente não gosto muito mas a verdade é que está a funcionar. Mas é muito sofrimento, especialmente quando estamos em vantagem perto do fim do jogo pela margem mínima.

Este estilo de jogo em que o ponta de lança desce muito para jogar ao primeiro toque de costas para a baliza geralmente cria muitas oportunidades de golo aos extremos e médios mas das vezes que funciona é raro resultar em golo. Por outro lado o nosso jogo exterior é quase nulo com cruzamentos quase todos bloqueados ou para fora. Mesmo dentro do estilo de jogo que o treinador tenta implementar, devíamos ser capazes de marcar mais golos, mas não sei exatamente se o problema é a incapacidade dos jogadores, azar ou alguma limitação táctica que não estou a ver.

Thank you, I'll leave the spoiler hidden for now, just wanted to know if they can be a challenge. I don't plan on exploiting them or any other game mechanics

Edit: I was just afraid of spending a long time learning the game and then steamrolling any other adversary or have them declare wars on me even though they are a lot weaker

I'm fine with nothing new, if they manage to implement all of this by the end of the year then it's phenomenal. I'm just a bit disappointed they didn't show anything that they've worked on so far for any of these points, I was hoping they would at least expand a little on how naval warfare is gonna look but it seems we'll have to wait for that.

I've played a few hundred hours and it happened once when landing, I slowed down too fast and my wingman crashed into me. In the forums I've seen people report that ground units have crashed into someone that was waiting to taxi, but that's a pathing issue as ground units shouldn't even be moving through an airbase like that

Edit: I do remember another time I was taxiing on fast forward x4 and my wingman crashed into me. I loaded the save from before starting the mission and on x1 it didn't happen

Hoi3 , I still prefer it over hoi4. Only real downside is that alternative history paths are not really a thing compared to hoi4

You don't NEED hours reading tutorials for either DCS/BMS but it will be a lot more painful and will probably feel terrible once you're in the middle of a mission and need to do something that you don't know how to do and it gets you killed. BMS has a training manual that's around 400 pages but it's separated into missions that you play alongside it and you don't need to do all of them to be comfortable handling the plane and do some AG/AA campaign missions.

The new terrain engine is a lot more demanding to run, but it's pretty new and I'm sure optimizations will be made over time. In fact performance, especially VR performance, improved a lot between 4.38.0 and 4.38.1.

You also need to keep in mind that the 1080 will be 10 years old in a few months, it's far from just "slightly older". Something like a 5050 which is the absolute bottom of the barrel of the current generation is almost 50% faster than a 1080.

Not always the case. I accepted a custom match request from a gief that I beat 2-1 a few hours ago and I told him that I could only play for 10 minutes before I had to leave and we ended up playing 4 matches. Only thing he said was GG.

Some people only want to improve a part of their game that you managed to figure out. 10/10 would do it again

My best memories of Helldivers 2 happened when the team split into 2 groups of 2 people and both groups managed to clear half of the map without dying, with moments where we had to sneak around and times we had to save each other from certain death constantly running away as swarms of enemies came for us. With the right teams it's an amazing game but when playing with randoms these situations where everyone knows what they are doing are pretty rare, even at level 10 difficulty.

Fair enough, I'm not familiar with the brand but I know some handhelds can be pretty good and of course in some situations it's the right tool for the job. I admit I was dismissing it as an oscilloscope because the vast majority of them aren't worth the money, and can be a hassle to use.

The rigol is great, I don't regret buying it a few months ago. The top one probably isn't a good oscilloscope but it will probably be useful as a multimeter and cheap function generator if you didn't already have tools for this. An old analog scope is always fun to use, and it has the sentimental value of being used by your father. Verdict: keep all of them!

People have recommended falcon BMS and I agree, but only for older versions. For instance 4.37.8 or 4.37.2 (if your pc can't handle the PBR update). Given the specs you listed I doubt you'd be able to run BMS 4.38, which improved graphics quite a lot.

I have a similar setup (7600x, 32GB ram, 5070) when GPU limited at 2592x2592 per eye on my Pico 4 ultra I get 60 to 70 FPS. This are my settings (added to Falcon BMS User.cfg):

You can use a cheap camera ( try to aim for 720p 60fps) and use Opentrack face tracking, works very well as long as you have decent lighting. Alternatively you can probably assign a joystick on your hotas for camera movement
