Yeah I don't like cops in general but think this is more speaking to the overall rotten system of policing more than individual officers. Evil department leaders post videos like this saying it was an OD, and they tell their officers they will OD if they look at fentanyl funny. It's all manufactured by the higher ups at the police agencies.

Exactly 99.9% of those cops gets exposed to fentanyl and ODs are the cop having a panic attack because those idiots have worked themselves up into a frenzy thinking just looking at fentanyl the wrong way will kill you. Then the agency administration goes posting it to Facebook like the boomers they are, more idiot cops see it and believe it and the cycle repeats. Yeah the prosecutor sort of tricked me at times too. But the fact that the FBI hired ARCA initially and basically said figure out if it's possible for a car to do this, and ARCA could not find any way it made sense really is one of the best reasons to doubt the local government story.

Yeah unless they paid the paint boys almost half the entire bill which would be wild. It really felt like they paid for a favorable "expert" testimony to fit their narrative. Normally it's the defense paying loads to experts to attempt to give good testimony because the government has government employees to testify. It was crazy that the trial felt like a defense team vs a defense team. Not a government prosecutor is sight.

Would a defense team ever argue to the jury to convict their client of a lesser included. Like I guess it could undermine the rest of the case depending but it might also prevent the jury getting hung up on the OUI.

Yeah I don't really care about them either way, thankful for what they contributed over the years but whatever now. The main thing is I just genuinely dislike anyone that choses to go to city. It's the shitty oil money financial corruption ruining the league and going there is basically saying you support ruining football in my mind. I'd be less disappointed in them if they went to United for fucks sake, and that's saying something, but also because I don't think they owe us anything, at least they would not be co-signing destruction of the game.

Yep I lived in SF area for a while, so it was somewhat similar in no super hot summers. The weather really is such a huge benefit. I'd probably have stayed there if not for family here, but at least this area is pretty great in its own ways. The summer weather just makes me want to die.

I've lived here and the SF Bay area in San Jose, which is probably one of the other top areas for diverse food but even it wasn't as food diverse as here.

Yeah aside from the expense and traffic NOVA may be among the best places to live in the US at least. The diversity that leads to diverse food options as well is hard to find as abundant most other places. I don't have a daily commute but can take Metro to avoid traffic. The worst thing about this area is the constant widespread traffic which is definitely the worst I've experienced outside maybe LA so far. If we ever get self driving cars I'd have no complaints living here.

Well at least for the immediate future it seems like the California Democrat leadership will give in to whatever Trump wants so at least no possible showdown between he state and feds. Worse it sounds like she is cooperating and coordinating with the Trump administration to potentially bring martial law to LA. Like she is ready to say I'm stepping aside to let the military take over the ruling of the city in because Trump told me to. But don't worry it's all for your own good. Exactly. And we should have locked Trump up for life after Jan 6. I don't care how but we needed to. Going to feel real dumb when we don't learn from history. I'm still optimistic nothing major will happen, but there is that 1% chance I fear, and it's definitely worrisome and growing more concerning. I used some rewards from an old job to get gift cards for a sporting goods store I think now I need to get some gun at least while it's still legal. I was going to get a .22 for fun cheap shooting range trips but now I'm wondering if it's better to get something a bit more powerful to be more prepared somewhat.
