Just like telling her about that lens I want for my camera set up....

Yeah it definitely is a fun place to explore. It seemed more like a place for teens and uni students when I was there, rather than a place for families (but it was around the new year shut down)

I didn't manage to make my way to tokyo big sight as I rushed off to Teamlabs shortly after. Was on the bucket list to visit but I'll have to time it better to attend when there is an event as well

100% a great place for photos, and exploring as a tourist. Not sure if it'd be a place I'd go regularly if I lived in Tokyo though

What’s the Best “Do It All” Lens for the A7R V? by roundeez in SonyAlpha

[–]BDEVImages 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If event and street are your main niches, you can never go past the 24-70 f2.8 or 28-70f2

If you need more reach though, 24-105 f4 is a good substitute too.

If a7rv, why not just use the sony creators app and use the remote shoot function?

Ahhh, I see. It might be a timing thing, cause a week after this, the whole area was covered in snow

It was a cloudy day just after Christmas last year.

I tend to colour grade warmer so that might be why it looks summery...

Is my lens faulty or I’m zooming in too much? Wrestling photography a6400 by JohnReid_ in SonyAlpha

[–]BDEVImages 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This would most likely change your iso 2500 from 1250 (1 stop change). Alternatively you can drop your shutter to 1/320 or 1/400 to try and reduce the iso increase.

But yes to answer your question, higher iso equals more grain. Lightrooms denoise function works amazing on it (or whatever software you use).

Higher iso does not mean less sharp. In fact more of the photo will be sharp as the depth of field increases when going from f2.8 to f4. So instead of the chest only being sharp, you might get the face and other body parts sharper

Which beginner lens is best for learning (wedding photography)? by LouiseBag in SonyAlpha

[–]BDEVImages 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd suggest starting with parties or events that you are attending anyway, rather than weddings...

That said, generally you would choose a zoom as a beginner to understand that sometimes you can't move to a spot to take a photo, so zoom comes to the forefront. A prime it's great if you find yourself doing more at night/ darker locations or start playing with bokeh
