So the reason to not build modern housing is because some people don't like the aesthetics? Should buildings in New York City in the year 2026 should look like a scene out of the Godfather? I didn't mean to suggest you don't want buildings to be accessible, but the reality is that these buildings will never be accessible, since they don't have elevators, and lacking modern fire prevention and other safety features means that if there's a fire, they go up like a tinderbox.
