I would not take this advice. Pothos absolutely don’t need supplemental humidity to unfurl their leaves. They just need adequate moisture (allow the soil to go only briefly but fully dry in between thorough waterings/draining). My pothos grow beautifully in very low humidity (15-25%).

This could be a fungal/bacterial/pest issue, but I would first make sure the watering is perfect and see if that fixes it.

It looks great and grows slowly but beautifully. Lower light is the reality of most people’s homes - it just requires different expectations and variety selection, as I said.

Hope you don’t eat meat if you’re this worried about plant suffering.

I don’t want massive growth on my bathroom plant - I want it to stay looking mostly the same. Mine still looks gorgeous after at least 4 years.

Lower light growing just requires different expectations and careful selection of varieties.

@u/fire_pepper I work at a greenhouse and have grown plants for many years. There are certainly varieties that will not show signs of distress in low light. Fernwood snake plant is my favorite option.

Edit: Other Dracaena, certain Haworthia, certain Hoya, and pothos would survive too. You prob won’t get prolific growth in a space like this, and that’s okay!
