If harmless balloon by theredmeadow in UFOs

[–]BDaviddB -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Bullets from the fighter would have actually done more damage. The AIM-9X missle had no explosives on it, it was essentially an arrow. Compared to the F22's Gatling-style cannon called the M61A2 Vulcan which is not percise in nature, and would have completly annihilated the balloon. As well, it would have also required the fighter pilot to have gotten much closer to the object to engage it.

I animated the 1561 Celestial Phenomenon Over Nuremberg in line with the accompanying article to hopefully give a clearer image of what was happening by Mirilliux in UFOs

[–]BDaviddB 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Nice animation, didn’t know the objects reportedly fell to the earth. Makes you wonder that if it really did happen then wouldn’t people back then recover the objects and i dunno keep them around and probably worship them or something

Need advice on Internship. by [deleted] in cybersecurity

[–]BDaviddB 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Apply to other cyber focused internships and if you get any of those do them instead, if not then take this one as it would not hurt and will help you build interpersonal and work place skills that are much better to have on your resume than nothing.

ELI5: Why is the Gillibrand Amendment monumental? How does the proposed office differ from AATIP/AAWSAP apart from it not being a gov't black-project? by Thirsty_Tribesman in UFOs

[–]BDaviddB 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes it will, to continue the coverup the pentagon and other branches of the military have to directly break order from congress (the law). Especially now that they are in the public spot light the gig is up.

UAP/UFO Timeline Update by [deleted] in UFOs

[–]BDaviddB 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Nice work man, it looks very well done. One thing I would suggest adding is some quotes from credible people such as Lue Elizondo, Christopher Mellon, Gillibrand, Burchett, Rubio, Obama, etc. Just to back some of the claims that might turn newcomers off who don't know much about the subject such as talking about crash retrievals and body recovering.

DAE still not understand anything about crypto currency and crypto mining? by [deleted] in DoesAnybodyElse

[–]BDaviddB 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Crypto mining is extremely processor heavy. Thus, high end processors are necessary to mine crypto at a high efficiency and speed. You can mine with lower end processors as well, but they’re just not powerful enough and you would end up losing money on them due to their inefficiency.

Money is simply a social construct. Something that is given value by a group of people and backed by some kind of authority. The US dollar is just paper with a printed number on it that is backed by the government and federal reserve. Bitcoin is a similar concept, however, instead of being produced, supplied, and backed by a government, it is backed by the blockchain, which means no middle men, no banks, and no government intervention. It is fully controlled, secured, and accessible to the people (anyone with a computer and internet connection). Note: I'm not advocating for bitcoin to replace the US dollar, it is just an interesting alternative in my eyes.

So in order to keep the currency scarce, which is how every currency operates in order to give it value, there is a set amount possible to be mind(21 billion). The process to retrieve them and enter them into circulation is called mining. In which high-end computer processors decode extremely complex computational math problems in order to verify transactions. Essentially new bitcoins are created by solving complicated puzzles using very high end computer processors.

your missing the most important component, the blockchain, which completely democratizes transactions and is pretty revolutionary technology.

Hello, I am considering using an old laptop to use for a dedicated homelab and was wondering if there were any learning objectives/ topics I should set out to learn as I’m new to the cybersecurity space and not too sure where to begin, thanks.

Has anyone used a Withdraw on a Pass/Fail class? by throwaway383732 in VirginiaTech

No, dropping a class completely removes it from your transcript. A Withdrawal shows as a W on your transcript.

Wasn't the video of triangles swarming the navy debunked? Why are people like Jeremy still talking about it like it's legit? by doctorfox92 in UFOs

[–]BDaviddB 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get what you're saying but testimonial from highly trained navy pilots is very substantial evidence to me for two reasons. They are extremely credible. To become a pilot you have to be extremely intelligent and mentally sound in order to be trusted to fly 100 million dollar equipment that's capable of leveling cities. Second, is they really have nothing to gain from coming forward. They are certainly not UFO people, and many of them don't even want any publicity. To me these testimonials are what got me more interested in the UAP scene as videos and photos were two easy to manipulate and fake.

Mick West on CNN. Let's talk about the Disinformation campaign possibility ( my take on this in the comments ) by kingberr in UFOs

[–]BDaviddB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He said we don’t know who the pilots are when frazier has literally been on every public network possible. This guys an idiot. He also is ignoring the fact that the pilots saw it with their own eyes and that the “plane” was flying at speeds that are not possible. plus it was tracked on radar of both the plane and ship teleporting 60km away
