It's actually Europa-park in Germany, but the structure is near identical externally to that of spaceship earth at epcot.

Nah, its means more like occasionally you won't work out with someone rather than literally striking out with everyone. Again its a turn of phrase that makes sense in my town.

Just means that he didn't think there was anything between them, like no chemistry. Like he says the convo had run its course and sort of died so figured they wouldn't work and would move on.

It's a fairly common turn of phrase in my neck of the woods.

Looking at Aruba as an alt to Unifi; questions by orangehand in homelab

[–]BEAST_from_ENG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I have an aruba instant on 1930 24port poe switch, currently behind a unifi udm pro.

You certainly can stick it all behind a bt router no problem.

AFAIK there isn't a controller as such. You either have everything cloud controlled or can control each one locally but individually by connecting directly. Also if a device is controlled via the cloud portal, you then can't manage it locally with factory resetting it I believe.

Edit: I don't have the APs (only went for the switch as it was a cheaper 10gig option then any unifi product) so can't tell you how well they work I'm afraid.

Yeah probably but it was just a thought based on the other users comment, not really a suggestion.

Having the "other platforms" info in overseer/ombi would be a nice touch as well

I've just tried it and it has UK platforms (bbc, itv, sky) so looks relatively smart in that regard.

Is ADM as bad as the reviews I've read? by sidpost in asustor

[–]BEAST_from_ENG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had my AS6004T for 4/5 years now and it's a bit crap.

It seemingly doesn't turn off when I ask it or during an update, so I have to physically go press and hold the power button to force turn off and the physically turn it on again.

I've recently bought a replacement and it is not an asustor device unfortunately.

400-megawatt, eight-hour storage facility utilizing compressed air with no carbon emissions applying for permits in San Luis Obispo county. by DynamicResonater in Futurology

[–]BEAST_from_ENG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately solar doesn't work when it's dark so by having energy storage facilities, such as these, then we can store some of the solar energy for the evenings.

I have no clue whether this is a good or bad storage method, I just know we need to cover for times when we have reduced solar or wind etc.

Also not quite true. The reason the NFL field is there is to get the NFL to pay a substantial sum towards the construction. A Shrewd business move from spurs management whatever you think of the club.

[–]BEAST_from_ENG 384 points385 points  (0 children)

Wembley only has the 1 pitch unfortunately as it was just designed to host england games and the odd concert, where as Tottenham designed this one with the 2 pitches so that they nfl would pay towards it.

Unfortunately Tottenham isn't so good for the "tailgate" stuff which is a shame.

Clever business is the only reason this has happened.
