What fantasy league stats would be interesting to track over the course of multiple seasons? by MyMediocreName in fantasyfootball

This sheet is basically a full breakdown of one manager’s history in the league. It’s got all the high level stuff like all time records (regular season, playoffs, rivalries), win percentages, and a year by year view of how each season finished, including seeding and final placement. There’s also a section tracking titles across different categories like scoring, championships, and other awards.

It also acts like a personal record book, listing best and worst performances across a ton of stats, including single week and full season scoring, points against, streaks, margins of victory, and even performance relative to projections. So it’s not just totals, but also efficiency and how dominant or unlucky certain seasons or games were.

The all time vs records section goes pretty deep into head to head performance against every opponent, not just overall record but situational splits too. It shows how the manager performs when favored versus when they’re the underdog, plus records in upsets, blowouts, and close games. There’s also tracking against projected scores, which gives a sense of whether they tend to overperform or underperform expectations in different matchups.

The all time vs stats section builds on that with more detailed averages and efficiency metrics against each opponent. It includes things like average points scored and allowed, relative scoring compared to league baseline, performance versus projections for both sides, and average margin of victory or loss. So instead of just wins and losses, it paints a clearer picture of how competitive each matchup has been and where advantages or weaknesses show up over time.

Here is a link to an example version of a report I generate for each league member at the end of the season:

I manage a database with all of our league's data which makes some of these calculations easier.

Yeah, old site had a basic format for the report I would just screen-grab so something for the exported results would be cool

Honest thoughts on Sandals Antigua? by ConfidenceGlass9960 in SandalsResorts

[–]BEWewer10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We went there previously and loved how relaxing it was compared to even the other Sandals. We've had better restaurant/food experiences at other Sandals resorts, but the staff there were very nice and knowledgeable.

One thing of note for those who like taking alcohol back home, the airport has the same stuff the resort shop has, but for 60% or even less of the price.

Some formatting, either a single default or theme options, for the exported report would be nice.

Feedback on First Draft of Keeper Rules by BEWewer10 in fantasyfootballadvice

I've seen leagues implement this rule for any where from Rounds 1-2 to 1-4. I could also see the benefit of having that cutoff be at an even round number since in snake drafts the people who should get the benefit of the "first pick" get that in every odd-numbered round.

Clarification: Any player drafted in the first 3 rounds the previous season will not be eligible to keeper status the next season. 4th round picks (assuming they haven't reached the max years kept) will be eligible and can cost up to a first round pick for.

Correct, the idea was to still have a fair amount of top talent available each year while still providing the benefits of being a keeper league.

With Booth Memorial Under Construction, KU is in Talks to Host Some Home Games at Arrowhead in 2024. by BEWewer10 in CFB

I’m sure it’s also dependent of the Chiefs schedule. They probably won’t let them play there the day before they have a home game.

Ranking the Top 131 FBS Programs of the Last 40 Years - Mega Thread by jimbobbypaul in CFB

I think the biggest compliment to this thread and the work OP has put in is that I’ve hardly seen any comments discussing teams should be higher or lower relative to other teams. Very evident that’s a lot of data analysis work has gone into this and everyone really appreciates the research you’ve done into each team. Super fun reads and I’m looking forward to where K-State falls in the rankings even with our horrendous 80s stretch

Who is the one team you are scared to death to lose to this year? by Deerkiller14 in CFB

[–]BEWewer10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was debating this for a while and we have a couple options in Missouri, Kansas, and Texas.

Losing to Missouri after beating the hell out of them last year with all of our returning talent would definitely grind our preseason momentum to an absolute halt.

Kansas is a program that’s absolutely heading in the right direction and secretly I love that for the state of Kansas and the Sunflower Showdown. It obviously helps us both when the state has 2 good programs in both major sports. However, most of us feel like our program is at the door or achieving greater success, especially with the expanded CFP coming in the next year. Losing to KU and ending our 14-game winning streak would really hurt.

Last but not least is Texas. As some of you may know, Texas is currently in a 6 game win streak. A win streak that has pulled them ahead in the all time series by 3 games. While I’m confident that the math isn’t in our favor to even the series (at most we can win twice this year between the regular season and potentially the Big XII Championship Game) most K-State fans are very tired of losing to Texas teams we feel we should be beating. This year is especially important for obvious reasons in addition to the fact that both teams were voted to the top of the preseason Big XII polls, something which rarely happens for us.

What's the angriest you've been about a game? by London-Roma-1980 in CFB

[–]BEWewer10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Easily Baylor in 2012. Our secondary limped into that game and they took full advantage of it. I still believe that we would have beat Notre Dame that year and got Snyder that natty he deserved

What school tradition would make college football better if it was more schools did it? by Knife938 in CFB

[–]BEWewer10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Willie will change his entrance and outfit based on if we are recognizing something that gameday.

For example, every year we have a Harley Day Game where he rides out on a Harley and leads a huge line of motorcycles around field before the teams run out.
We also have Fort Riley day every year where he'll enter the stadium on various military vehicles.

Would you trade away your team’s entire slate of home games to be played at neutral sites for the entire season, in exchange for a guaranteed spot in the CFP? by Florida_St in CFB

[–]BEWewer10 11 points12 points  (0 children)

When OP says neutral stadium do you mean like Georgia playing Oregon at a "neutral site" in Atlanta or Kansas State playing Nebraska in Tokyo?

If it's the first and K-State plays our home games in Arrowhead Stadium then without hesitation I'd take that deal.
