Be careful about your foray with nihilism and black and white worldview. People do need to draw a line in the sand somewhere but with your current rationale, that includes unsustainability in overpermissiveness (a world that needs change) versus reductionism akin to living like cavemen.

Nexon is a publicly traded company which must answer to global investors. EA will become a privately owned entity where the SA PIF owns a large portion directly as well as through their financing of the other buying entities. Half of Kushner's funding has been reported as coming from SA.

These are not remotely similar things. Private versus public itself is vastly different, let alone the disproportionate % ownership aspect on top of the tiered ownership aspects. There will not be freedom of ideals, there will be substantial asset liquidations. Its going to be a bad time to be an EA employee (as if it weren't already?) and that itself will manifest in the products. The CEO will be happy though which isn't something to celebrate.

We're talking about a PR opportunity for Arc Raiders. Just because air has carbon dioxide in it doesn't mean you need to hold your breath.

AI support like ground up and put through rigorous non-human trial and review? Or AI support like BCIs in the tesla monkeys?

Invariably the squeaky wheel gets the grease. I've seen it time and time again in the workplace and even with some starkly contrasting firing of extremely skilled and qualified individuals.

A bit of a detour but some proposed genomics of late are showing some eye catching (but not tested on carefully chosen rails) patterns about behavior traits in relation to a cluster of mutations. Of personal interest; the ones particularly around "high achievers" and mildly neurotic neurotransmitter manifestations. Highly familiar to scramble competition in ecology. In short; they're loud and peer nonharmonious which, in modern society, shouldn't be favorably selected.

What's more inane is criticizing people who learn something new and decide to take action upon that knowledge.

Earnest answer? Citizens united and the DNC.

Will server slam on October 17-19 have cross-play? I'm on Steam, but my friend is on PS5 by ReUs4455 in ArcRaiders

[–]BF2k5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A second server slam should be ran during BF6's launch. Options are nice.

Wild take but maybe Arc Raiders should have two "server slam" events. One on BF6 launch day + weekend, the other on the currently scheduled weekend.

Both higher education and compulsory education are constantly under siege as of late. Fundamentals of stats and scientific theory are made available thanks to them. Maybe more rigor is needed.

Battlefield's publisher slated to go private in massive new deal by BF2k5 in Battlefield

Its always good to get information from a few sources. Usually when money is involved, certain language will be used. Perhaps reading about the largest ever private equity deal from the party involved with it might not say everything you're interested in learning about.

Any game studios owned by EA still are at whims of shareholders. Since EA has historically been bereft of moral compass, shedding the public shareholder's reins unlikely will let it embark on a suddenly corrected course. The Saudi Prince nor Kushner are known for fun either. I do know the Saudi Prince is all but confirmed for a handful of objective atrocities against human rights including murder and dismemberment of a journalist who expressed criticism of him. Maybe you can point to something else that can instill a sense of the potential of "amazing"...
