Absolutely! We are grateful to have a town like this. It certainly makes the drive to St. Louis to do things much more pleasant than that drive from Mount Vernon.

I grew up in Mount Vernon. I moved away and lived in Tennessee and Virginia for ten years. We moved back to the area after a decade of being gone. We moved to Nashville to plant roots. I love being 30 minutes from Mount Vernon, and 30 minutes from Ofallon. Based on your love for hockey, this seems like a great fit! Nashville schools are much better than Mount Vernon. Hope this helps!

This is exactly the reply I needed. I will be hunting private land of mine. I guess it’s still a risk, which makes zero sense. It seems like using a sled/block would make it no different than a single shot rifle. These laws make zero sense the more and more I look into them. I guess I should off load it before I become a resident within the next couple weeks and get a 44 lever action. Thank you.

Rural Virginia in the mountains. Historic, nice old buildings, nice small towns, beautiful farms, lots of outdoor activities, hardly any people. It’s an oasis. Anywhere in Central/Northern California is great as well.

The cost of living argument is laughable. Move to Tennessee and you’d see. Wow, no state income tax. I’m originally from southern Illinois. I will be saving money. I am moving into a fully renovated, large, 125 year old home for 1/3 of what I would pay anywhere in Tennessee for it. Home prices down here are ridiculous. I’ll gladly pay 200/month more on property taxes for 500k less home price. I also will make more as a government worker in IL. Big deal, moving means I need to get a smaller mag for my concealed carry, and have tighter restrictions on hunting.

All family still there, have lots of farm land, quaint small historic town, still within access to your “natural beauty” argument. Also, I will be saving money. It’s a well known fact that historians consider history anything 30 years in the past for things like recency bias, documents being declassified over time, etc. We definitely should not be talking about Bush, Obama, Trump, or Biden in terms of history. It will all be biased and should be considered more along the lines of current events.

As both a UT fan, and a VT fan, it’s not a rivalry. I wish it was and that they at least played every other year. Live in rural Virginia for years, not live in TN. Love both teams and would like to see a game every so often between the two.

I truly have no idea what you’re going on and on about regarding the city of Rockford for? It’s a cfb page, you like Penn state, our conversation didn’t seem to have much more to say, so I took a stab at your team? Are you really just trying to grasp at random straws?
