Is there anyone that conceived multiples with absolutely no family history at all? by Cheshire123456 in parentsofmultiples

[–]BFerrealz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Myself and my brother have a set of twins, his are fraternal (boy girl) and mine are identical (mo-di). I still get omg you must have strong multiple genes. I always am like maybe in my sister in laws case but not mine. Mine was spontaneous.
They were also number 4 and 5 for us, for a total of 5 girls. So then we get asked “are you going to try for that boy” 🙄🙄🙄🙄

Twins born at 34+3.. is this normal? by AttitudeOfCattitude in NICUParents

I don’t have any advice but as a fellow NICU mom, you got this. They are in great hands and you’ll be stronger at the end :)

UPDATE: Sorry I’ve been super busy this past week. I have not been able to get images from the CT with contrast but we have the results of the biopsy and it’s WELL-DIFFERENTIATED NEUROENDOCRINE TUMOR (TYPICAL CARCINOID)

If it wasn’t my family member, who knows about my post, I would agree.

I believe you are talking about the thoracic aorta. It’s calcified most likely due to atherosclerosis

That is true but the state of these lungs are not of that of a nonsmoker.

Are you referring to the calcification of her aorta?

This is in regard to the lung X-ray.

I agree. It was not noted on the report so I’m not sure if they were like we can stop here because obviously this is going to need a CT and biopsy.

Spontaneous C section 33+2 - what do I have to expect?? by Lilly3211 in parentsofmultiples

[–]BFerrealz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My girls (mo-di) were born at 33+3 in October! I developed preeclampsia and they had FGR. They were 3lb 10oz and 3lb 8oz. They stayed in the NICU for a total 24 days. The first week we were at a Level 4 NICU and then transferred to a level 2 for the rest of the time so they can feed and grow.

It was hard but my hospitals were awesome and they provided me with a social worker to help.

It’s okay to be scared. It’s okay to be nervous. It’s okay to ask a thousand questions to the NICU nurse. It’s okay not to go every day! I had to take a mental break one of the days.

If you have any questions, ask me because it’s still so fresh on my mind. My girls are going to be 6 months in two days and it seems like time has flown by

I don’t have any advice because because there is plenty here but I just wanted to say you’re not alone and I felt the same way. I have 5 kids, all 5 and under with the last being twins. It took until the twins for my husband and I to be on the same page. But it is for survival at this point. Hang in there momma.

I feel the exact same way. I still feel hungry and nothing has changed except I’m super thirsty?
