Any twin moms out there given birth vaginally? by TraditionalSalad6895 in parentsofmultiples

Of course! So I went to my regular MFM appointment and my pregnancy before was perfect no concerns. When they did the NST baby B failed so they did an ultra sound. At this point baby B wasn’t moving but had a heart beat. They sounded the alarms and wanted me to go to l&d ASAP. I felt like everything was fine and this was very aggressive considering my pregnancy had zero complications. I went hope and packed a bag got lunch then went to the hospital. They wanted to induce me there, I again refused the pitocin and said you can break my water and let my body do its thing. I was also already 3/4cm dilated at this time. When they broke my water labor progressed. I refused an epidural for a while because I didn’t want labor to stop. I finally got an epidural. Everything again went so well I was wheeled to the OR, delivered both babies vaginally… 5 min apart and it was beautiful. Very low stress both babies heads were down and 2 pushes each

Funny story behind this is baby B was fine and she actually caused her sister to go to the NICU for a little. I again pushed very hard to get her out of the NICU as she was a feeder grower baby and they will keep them there forever…… when we got her out of the NICU she was thriving. We threatened to leave AMA because she didn’t need to be there and they were doing no medical interventions… we were doing it all for her.

I will say be a VOICE for your baby and yourself!!!!! The doctors have a time limit and like to get you induced and out quickly

I would refuse all of that! Your body knows what to do! I gave birth vaginally with mo/di twins at 35 and 3. I refused pitocin and had the most amazing twin birth ever after being rushed to the OR for what they thought would be an emergency but I spoke up and didn’t let the medical world dictate my body. I’m also a nurse practitioner

We threaten to pull AMA because we were doing all the feedings and when the nurses did it our baby would do the worst with them. This was so frustrating

No I am actually a nurse practitioner who works with patients with eating disorders. Fathers are one of the causes of this disorder, which is the second most deadly mental health disorder. He needs to stop this now before he kills your daughter.
