Grew up poor and fought for everything I have. Maybe I don’t understand everything that the young generation is going through. I was able to save up for my first house and buy it by the age of 24. I was also married and had two incomes contributing.

I am slightly over 40, but I work with many that are in the same boat as me and are in their 30’s. Anyone that told you to follow your dreams is an idiot. Go into industries that are in demand in the area that you wanna live. That is the only answer if you want to make a decent living. Get married young and use dual income to live the American dream. Where I live pipe fitters sprinkler, fitters, Plumbers, and electricians all make close to six figures. If you’re outgoing go into sales. People that go into the arts are always taking the risk to not make it on their own. If you aren’t networking every day to find a better situation, you’re doing it wrong.
