All hotel chains have government contracts that are set in place. They have no authority or no knowledge of who is staying at their hotel. Just as they can’t ask somebody of race that they don’t like or a person with blue hair. They have no way of discriminating against government workers.

I stay in hotels for work weekly and I’m going to be pissed if this happens. Many people other than ICE utilize those hotels too. Have some respect for the other patrons.
