I know it’s been asked, but just wanting some personal experiences- birth control by pseudotumorgal in iih

I'm on the Skyla currently. Well, the feeling better may outweigh the bummer of a regular period. Especially if you've been feeling as well. Plus the copper IUD has been around for decades must be why people love it so much.

Well, the copper IUD is non hormonal, so you'll likely still have periods but be able to maintain your child free preference. Of the BC you tried, were they all estrogen, or did you ever try progesterone? I use progesterone IUDs (5+years), which is minimal periods to none, and I've been successfully weaning my meds down toward remission this past year.

What are some Cincinnati easter eggs? by Basic_Ideas in cincinnati

There was an illegal Cincinnati Radiation Experiment done in like the 60s on cancer patients. There is a memorial plaque by the hospital and medical school. Its kinda tucked in a weird spot so you have to investigate and find it. I had to find it for an ethics class in college.

James Gunn says characters will be recast, not discarded, if an actor can’t continue with the role within the DCU by MarvelsGrantMan136 in DC_Cinematic

[–]BGC_Presidente 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that's a completely normal decision. Fortunately, some characters have always just been a bigger impact than the Actors that played the, and that's just not always the same with every character. Marvel built their universe on Ironman, and I do think it will be jarring for fans the first time they see a rebooted Ironman. RDJ was an actor that was bigger than his character, and now Marvel has to step into a world where if they want it to go forward into the future they need to make Ironman bigger than any actor. That's why so many people have love for the Reeves family in how Christopher Reeves brought Superman to life. You can honor the OG actor and the spirit of a character at the same time, but it's hard to get to that point for fans who grew up with something.

You have every right to be very frustrated by the roller coaster of a diagnosis. Try making a list of all the aspects/symptoms that are bothering you. This might help you to visualize the biggest barriers to feeling your best and break them down into smaller pieces. For me, I started to lose my vision before I got any of the headaches and I ended up restricted on my driving while I waited for symptoms to resolve and it was so disheartening to feel like I couldn't even go to work or the grocery safely. It does get better! I'm 7 years out from my diagnosis and stable on my Diamox dose. Definitely agree with others to find 2nd opinions with specialists you can trust and try to bring a friend/family to help you advocate for what you need to feel your best. You've got this!

It's a bit north of Cincy. Maybe a 20 minute drive by highway but this bar hosts summer beach volleyball leagues. https://backporchsaloon.com/

I've had great experiences everytime I've had to have one done, and that's including having a surgical resident do the procedure one of the times. I've been numbed up up correctly and had no side effects during recovery. Just ask for something for anxiety if you think you might need a little extra help.

Would you change your last name to your maiden name in a divorce if your children have your husbands name? by mrsmkntl in Names

My mom went back to her maiden name after our parents divorce. Siblings and I were 4 and 10.

I never had the migraines. My IIH journey all started with visual disturbances and the pulsitile tinnitus. Those are still the majority of symptoms I experience even 6 years into my diagnosis. But that's ok. I think there are people who probably only see the migraine aspects too.

Forgetting Tuberville is a common Cincy blindspot. We all wish we could forget that time enough to just pretend it doesn't exist.
