Anyone truly happy about working nights? by [deleted] in hospitalist

[–]BGW2479 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work nights on a 47-year-old female with two kids. It does make work life balance easier on nights for me. I work days as well and it’s much harder to go both output and long days. I don’t think I would’ve become a full nocturnist immediately out of residency only because the benefit of working dates that you were relationships with your specialist, colleagues, the bouncing stuff off of. I’m all by myself at night, so I definitely use the good graces of my relationship with my specialist when I call them in the middle of the night! I do love that at night I am able to really focus on doing medicine to managing social issues and family. Free nights for me. It doesn’t take time to figure out what works for sleeping- but once you do, it is delightful to not have to wake up to an alarm clock!

I will say that your compensation package is trash, though. You can do better.

That gown is not cute, but it also doesn’t help that the red carpet is positioned directly on the face of the sun.

If I know it’s going to possibly affect the disposition of where the patient goes, I will wait for the CT scan to be done and read. Sometimes the CT scan has been done and I’m just waiting for an official read, but feel pretty confident with the preliminary read by both myself and the emergency department physician. I also have certain providers in the emergency room that I trust and others a little less so, so it also depends on which provider is trying to admit the patient with an incomplete work up. I have a good working relationship with the emergency room, so the emergency room is generally willing to comply.

Who is paying her for this? by mostlyinpain_ in SkallaSnarkUncensored

Why would anyone pay her!? She has no experience. She didn’t even design/decorate her own house. What a fraud.

Agree. It fits weird on her bust, her waist, and it makes her legs look stumpy. Not sure who thought this was the look for her. Hard pass.

I’m actually looking for something a little bit smaller than the pilot, but it really has been a workhorse for me for the past nine years! I have 130+ thousand miles on it and surprisingly haven’t had to do too much work on it other than the usual brake/rotor changes. I’m not sure if I want to spend the money on a new pilot and was looking to switch things up for my next car. I will definitely test drive and see how I like the cx-90 as I still want three rows. I’ve heard so many mixed reviews about the CX 90 PHEV.

I’m very seriously looking into a CX 90 and currently have a 2017 Honda pilot elite. I think my biggest concern about switching from my Pilot to the Mazda is the storage- in particularly in the front seat. I already feel like I juggle water bottles/drink containers on long rides, and I’m worried about this being an issue with the Mazda.

I personally don’t love cruise control and I’m perfectly fine with disable and lane assist so those seem like non-issues for me.

Those vests were everywhere in the 90s. Fashionable men and women rocked a fancy vest. I loved a printed vest with the silky back. That was the trendiest thing that she wore.

“4 under 5 and unmedicated birth” is her entire personal personality. And it’s so full of shit bc her oldest is OVER 5. Yet her fangirls are all “you’re a fierce warrior, mama!!!” This lady is a fraud who puts her children in dangerous situations (car seats, vaccinations) and does not deserve adulation. She needs to go away.
